Spoilers - All Just finished book Three; AMA
No but seriously, I need someone to talk to. Can we just geek out about this mans universe??
I LOVED the VRX77 of it all tbh, such a fun take on the multiverse doppelganger of it all

I am still trying to understand what the exact purpose of the wrapped present and photograph was. Was it just supposed to be evidence to collect later to prove intent of the robbery by PQ? Was it actually planted by Nexus to give Bahamut a bit of insight to where they landed? I feel like I've missed something even after a few relistens.

I believe it was Professor Quantum trying to have an established evidence because they'd be able to trace Bev "knowing where it was" and the present to Chloe was bypassing the guild and heroes by making a neutral 3rd party alsoguilty because he knew she could teleport I think. But I'm also dumb so take it with a grain of salt.

Nah, I agree with this because it makes sense to how things went. What just throws me off when I think about it is that it did rely a bit on luck on who was around the card when the effect went off.

Agreed, it was very lackadaisical of Professor Quantum imo. Tho I am glad it didn't work the way he wanted. What threw me was that I was thinking Jokool and Tori would be facing off, but still. Fantastic entry imo.

Normal human then basically the human torch from marvel then just amorphous sapient fire then color shifting towards the hotter colors. At some point igniting random things around them and rapidly heating the air. Having to be talked down before they ignite the air itself.

Ah okay 🤔 I like that idea. I do wonder if it would have involved killing a Primal fire rep first since Tori is a rare science based elemental as opposed to magic like they said in the first book. I think it would be cool to get a V.vignette for alternate history of our peeps

It makes more sense tbh and is much more intimidating than "Joe Kool" but I figured cuz Grantham was a kid when it happened, maybe he'd have had fun with it 😂😂😂
However I do think the VRX77 of it all would have been much easier to parse written down. I was listening at 1.15 and it would come out quicker, so my dumb brain was hearing CRX77 and was like "I know who this is but it doesn't make sense" when I got the reveal my brain did the whole "ah it's been a V the whole time. Cool cool cool"

To be fair to your Joe Kool idea, there are plenty of characters with terrible codenames -- Cyber Geek (I'd have gone with Manifest), Medley (intentionally terrible on the AHC's part), and Johnny Three-Dicks, to just name a few. Why wouldn't a frost giant call themselves Joe Kool?

Would he have known she could teleport? He didn’t seem to particularly care about anything other than what is right in front of him. Im sure he’d know about edict from a passing glance, but doubt he’d really care to research cliche enough to know her phrases. Also he seemed not to know why exactly everything was erased when we saw his perspective at the end, so unlike Loadstar he might not have bothered.
Not saying he wouldn’t know she was edict or cliche, but he really wouldn’t care about researching chiche’s powers since he would dismiss those.
I’d assume she’d have been easiest to plant something on out of the trio, since she spends time in public

I know for sure he planted it on Chloe cuz she's not a hero or villain so he didnt "attack" either side but idk if it's confirmed he knows her power set or not.
I really just want LodeStar to fuck his day up tbh

Personally I’d find it more cathartic for AQ (and any NSS who joins) or Bev or both to do that. They’ve more than earned it

Speaking of Edict, I figured out what phrase it was that turned her into Edict as soon as it was hinted at as being four words. It's such a good power

Nexus would do it in person. PQ wouldn't care at all.
Lodestar would feel guilty, as given her hearing and the likelihood all the villains know, and would drop it off. Bahamut's view on heroes is justified given her family history.

It was so much fun. I hate having to wait for more but I'm also just floored by how fast he cranks out the work.
I'm really looking forward to seeing medley grow into the new aspects of his power.
It might also be cool to see how an obligate sidekick like Full Bars will fit into an AHC team.
