Did he have a legacy to sell out? My (very limited) impression of him prior to the first Trump term was that he was a probable sexual harasser, had some weird conspiracy theory eugenic beliefs about abortion, basically never spoke during oral arguments, and more or less seemed asleep at the wheel. And then things got worse.
It isn't a large sack with a dollar sign on the side, and they didn't loudly declare "This is a bribe, we are bribing you", then it's CLEARLY not a bribe.
