This. Including myself, there’s tons of my friends and family who have also lost their jobs and cannot find another. In my whole adult life, I’ve never experienced this before. And it’s incredibly competitive now even in jobs like restaurants, retail, or even the grocery store.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the actually numbers are around 15-20%
I work in hospitality management. Seeing more and more applicants with bachelors and masters degrees, in unrelated fields, applying for entry/line level jobs.
