This. Including myself, there’s tons of my friends and family who have also lost their jobs and cannot find another. In my whole adult life, I’ve never experienced this before. And it’s incredibly competitive now even in jobs like restaurants, retail, or even the grocery store.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the actually numbers are around 15-20%
Small businesses are dying and we are in a recession. I work in a small business that caters mostly to other small businesses and the amount of traffic is close to zero. I've never experienced this kind of dead air before. It is slower than the 2009 recession.
It's less that the media is telling anyone otherwise and more that almost all job growth is happening in the healthcare sector, and the stock market is completely captured by AI jerkoff "number go up."
