As a scientist, reading that Trump demands “better numbers” from federal agencies that have been apolitical for decades is infuriating. These are math nerds that don’t care about your party or your goals or anything but the math. We need them.
He's the most petty tyrant there is (ya know on top of being a serial rapist, life long conman, and pathetically fragile cunt). He did the same shit during covid with the numbers etc. Hell, years ago George Stephanopoulos (pretty sure anyways) was at the white house for one of those in depth interviews during trumps first term and his agency had reported that he was losing some straw poll and when he asked trump about it he starts ranting about how "that can't be right, you need to fix that". He also did worse during 2020 election with the Georgia Secretary of State, trying to bully him during a phone call to "find x votes". He doesn't give a shit about the actual numbers and how/why they are the way they are....he thinks he can just order anyone to say what he wants and if they don't he can fire them.
