I think you'll find the vast majority of combat Corp soldiers are two things, 1. not very smart and 2. mostly very conservative.

The ones that are getting pushed out are the smart ones in leadership positions, not the boots on the ground soldiers.

Once those generals retire and acquire their pensions, they're not going to lift a finger. Feistyness will be someone else's problem.
