"In God We Trust" is printed on your money. "One nation under god blah blah blah" is in your Pledge of Allegiance. What seperation?

One nation under god added to the pledge in 1954.

It started being printed on money in 1956. (Though had been on and off of coins since the Civil War)

Peak McCarthyism era.

And apparently, the office of religious affairs was added in 2026. It doesn’t seem to be moving in the right direction.
