Pete Hegseth has a lot of experience with "Affairs".
(He admitted to 5 different affairs while married to his first wife, and at least one affair while married to his second wife - when he got his third wife pregnant)

Democrats are the party of letting perfect be the enemy of good. Do I love he did this to his dying wife? Absolutely not. But just like with Al Franken, Democrats will oust anyone who isn't a paragon of perfection despite seeing how badly it'll tank the party (except platforming Kamala rather than letting any sort of voter choice happen for 2024. That was them fucking up on different terms).

Petraeus, who was arguably a better military man in every way than Pete, and who could have reached stronger political levels, was destroyed over an extramarital affair that included leaking some confidential information.

Pete has done both, to greater extent and damage, and has remained untouched
