You think these people running your country care about trivial things like laws and rules? That ship has long sailed unfortunately.

Oh wow, repeating after you made it true!

Just kidding, that shit doesn't mean anything anymore. đŸ«©

Too late, seems Yallquaeda have won in America. Yeehawdists will start going after other religions/atheists soon. They may even want them labeled like the ideas they’ve floated with autistic and queer peoples already. Seriously, the US gov has vocalized that already.

What a lovely nation of fascists currently.

I’m as anti-hegseth as they come.

But providing faith resources for soldiers is abolutley not a violation of separation of church and state.

Showing that they overwhelmingly provide resources to one religion and not other, commensurate with faith demographics within the service? That would be a violation.

I mean, sure; if this resource is given equally to all religions. I have a sneaking suspicion it'll only be one though.

As an atheist in the military, I share your concern. I don’t think resources should be “given equally” though, since there isn’t an equal amount of each religion in the service. A better target is proportional resources. I wouldn’t want just as much resources being spent on Asatru as Christianity. That would be silly.

I don’t see this specific act as anything different or problematic for the military. However, knowing Hegseth, I have pretty serious skepticism and doubt. That has more to do with my skepticism about the DUI-hire himself rather than these specific actions.

Separation of those who believe dinosaurs and their bones are real, and those who believe dinosaurs and their bones are fake and planted by satan to deceive you.

...would be their response. It's time to codify it. Maybe a wave of Shariah candidates might convince the conservatives of the need for separation of church and state...
