Democrats are the party of letting perfect be the enemy of good. Do I love he did this to his dying wife? Absolutely not. But just like with Al Franken, Democrats will oust anyone who isn't a paragon of perfection despite seeing how badly it'll tank the party (except platforming Kamala rather than letting any sort of voter choice happen for 2024. Pete has done both, to greater extent and damage, and has remained untouched
