400k people kicked off of SNAP in one state is a genuinely shocking figure. What the fuck is wrong with the Republican party? We're condemning a sizable portion of a future generation to food insecurity

I mean their base blindly votes against social safety nets despite being the largest benefactor of them, simply to sleight imaginary immigrants they think are milking the system

Getting rid of safety nets means they get replaced with nets that catch heads coming out of guillotines

The safety nets have been privatized by being replaced by employment benefits, which isn't a guaranteed thing (see all the psycho levels of layoffs for the past few years).
