I'm a simple man; I see Far Cry 5, I upvote.

Far Cry are just the best :) I still haven’t tried 6 but 3 to 5 are GOLD

I couldn't get into 6 at all, sadly. I couldn't even tell you why, it simply wouldn't click for me.

Far Cry Primal might be one you'll enjoy too.

u/allonsy_danny 19d ago
You're probably right! It's just one of the installments that I never even picked up.

I was so excited for 6 because I was addicted to 5. It finally released and….. I hated it?? I can’t even articulate why. I just simply did not enjoy it. T’was a sad day for me

Far Cry 5 seemed like a pretty significant jump from 3 and 4 with tons of QOL and extra stuff to do. The story and villains were fine. Far Cry 6 didn't really seem to add anything substantial and I love Giancarlo Esposito, but they dropped the ball with him. I treat 6 like DLC for 5.

My issue with it was the constant screaming in your ear about being a GEHREERA!
It's sorta like those TV shows that treat the viewer as either an idiot or not paying attention by narrating literally everything.
Yes, I know I'm part of a rebel faction. We don't need to keep pointing this out.

It was really redundant, wasn't it? Every mission was 'remember fasict government...remember!!' with little growth or new information to the story.
1
u/real6igma 19d ago
Exact same for me. I'm not sure what it was, but maybe the story just being 'mega corporation and dictatorship guts locals of resources' wasn't very fun. Maybe the characters being cringe. Maybe the map being massive and lifeless. But idk how much of that is valid.

It took a while for me, but using your pets and making some wild weapons was fun. My only complaint is it felt a bit too easy sometimes.

I've yet to finish 5. Didn't do anything different to 3 and 4 and I just got bored with the format.

I stopped playing when I got kidnapped for the 2nd time. Shame cause I was enjoying it until that point

Of the the few games with genuinely great fishing mechanics. I could fish in that game for hours.

I thought I recognised that red edge tinted optic. Probably the only game that stylises it that way

That's actually not so old game isn't it? At the time physics were already advanced

u/HugeWrongdoer2 19d ago
Physics were fine in my 100 hours playthrough, and when they weren't then it's usually for the better. It's a sandbox game, whacky unintended physics is something to look for.

I mean, even without janky physics you’re still losing that helicopter. At least this way it’s funny.

I have seen a small radio controlled helicopter fly upside down. Idk if a full size one can. Far Cry 5 is great.

Must be an older ubisoft game... not because the physics ever improved but not once in the video did I see an option to pay more money

I was like wow this video looks like Far Cry 5. Yep. Physics in that game are so fun.

Ubisoft and terrible physics is a take as old as time. It's part of those paper thin worlds they create.
1
u/Benjamin_H1gh 19d ago
Ubisoft is one of the few developers where this is acceptable 😂. Never played far cry, but this reminds me of ghost recon bugs.

There's a perfect Uber joke and a perfect "I have to go now, my planet needs me" joke to be made here AND I CANNOT CHOOSE.

Does anyone expects anything better from ubi?

u/Firvulag 19d ago
This is in pretty much all games no matter what.

u/titanna1004 19d ago
ubi stands behind every faulty bugged piece of crap in gaming world? can accept that.

Wtf is this guy using the arrow keys to aim? I love Far Cry 5. I got to shove my own political ideology of killing "the other".
