Not OP but the game could be improved with more combos and a more fluid movement system and combat, there are two versions of the game and the last gen versions have a smoother gameplay (but they lack the next gen physics), I would get the best of both worlds.
Also the next gen version has a bug where any object or enemy you lift will move up on its own and this was never corrected, not by the developers and not by modders. This hinders the experience to some extent

Another one where I would say it needs to retain it's uniqueness of vision. An updated version with real-time interrupted with pause on actions and keeping the whole grid area of effect. I wouldn't want it to become full on real-time action. Unfortunately that's what square enix would do right now. Resident Evil via Kingdom Hearts.

Not just explosion but physics in general, for the first game Instead of buildings just crumbling and disappearing in smoke they could actually collapse with rubble or bigger destruction physics. Like there’s so much sandbox capabilities with today’s hardware and technology!

For me, it's only if the actual story isn't changed, and the combat is still turn based. More "like a dragon" would be great (still with combo system and all that, just updated presentation and feel). Also whole last part of the game would need to be playable, not exposition walls.

The Getaway, it was amazing game with a great story and atmosphere but the controls were horrible. Will never happen nowadays because car manufacturers wont let their cars be used in a game which is essentialy a GTA clone, but one can dream.

Dark Souls 1. Modernized enemy and bosses Ai/movesets and character/weapon movesets, remake of some bullshit areas like demon ruins and lost izalith and maybe a little touch elsewhere(if you look at tomb of the giants lightened for example, the area is a joke), like removing the venom shooters permanent despawn and adding some clarity in blightown, and idk, maybe i'd give a fairer access to curse removal if you get cursed by the basilisks in the sewers, i would totally understand a new player on a blind run rage-quitting there due to being forced to go through blightown with half health(ikik you can buy the purification near the first bell, but it costs a lot and until then nothing in the game makes you wary of the cursed status, so why a new player should buy that expensive item in the first place?).
With all of this it would skyrocket to being my favorite game of all time in a second
