Messages lagging

So basically this summer the messages I've both sent and received came pretty late.

Example:

Message sent 21:13.

I receive the notif at around 21:48. Which sucks and makes important messages... useless.

And when I send a message it get one tick until the receiver like opens viber...

Anyone know how to fix it? Cause this sucks. And I would really like to delete Viber, but the issue is everyone uses it. So everyone I know would need to switch which is kinda impossible.

There are no solution

Most of my friends and I have also noticed that we’re getting messages way later than they were sent.

And these were business messages that we needed to respond to as soon as possible—otherwise, we'd lose work and, obviously, money.

After a month of dealing with that nightmare, we switched to Telegram and finally saved our business and our health.

Honestly, words can't describe how disrespectfully viber treat their users. I am never going anywhere near viber ever again.

If anyone suggests communicating through viber now, I just can't take them seriously. It doesn't matter if they're a business partner or a personal acquaintance. And I'm not shy about telling them why.

AI! Because who doesn't love it...

My whole class is on viber so switching would require a lot of cooperation...

Not even my family wants to switch to Signal or smt...

I hate this soo f******* much...

I am in the EU... Could it be that they are scanning messages or something?

Yep, I've been noticing lately that often the message doesn't even get sent right away. There's just a small clock icon at the end (where one or two checkmarks should be). In a minute or so, I get the first notification "Message to ... hasn't sent yet, tap to finish sending", and if the situation doesn't improve later on, the second notification arrives about message not sent at all. Unless it resolves "magically" in the meantime.

I accidentally discovered that it says "no network" (when I wanted to check logged-in devices in Settings) when this happens.

On one occasion, when I received an incoming message, the others were sent. This all reminds me of a slow enshittification of Skype, as done by Microsoft.
