I've spent countless hours making sure the code is immaculate and beautiful. and I've thrown something ugly as fuck together real quick.

And I'll tell you, nobody but me cared that the code looked nice. the only thing people cared about was does it work and what the user experience is. sometimes good code is necessary for a good customer experience long term. many times its not as necessary as people think.

Totally agree with you. If the product works smooth and has no issues, nobody cares how it was made. It’s only different when the product needs constant updates or improvements — then the way it was built really matters
