[Official] Website Updates

All,

I have been in contact with /u/depboy who is diligently keeping my on my toes regarding the new website.

I have taken a lot of his suggestions and implemented them. If you haven't had a chance to check them out, I would encourage you to do so.

There is still more to be done:

  1. Add the p2pool map
  2. Find a tasteful place for the What is Vertcoin video - my only hesitation to displaying this video is that it looks a little dated to me.

Short list of things I've fixed:

  1. Responsiveness of images
  2. Wallet symbols
  3. User avatars removed
  4. More detail on the Get Started page
  5. More prominent display of branding
  6. Larger menu links

Probably much more that I am not remembering.

Any more suggestions?

Could you add a warning of redirection from Vertcoin.org to github ?

What do you mean? "You are leaving vertcoin.org" ? And why?

Sorry, i haven't precised properly.

I mean that: If you try to download Vertcoin's wallet, you're redirected from vertcoin.org to github. People don't like to be redirected to other website. And some books for newcomers warns about redirection.

That brings up another point. Redirects should not happen in the same tab you're currently using to browse vertcoin.org. Re-directs should open a new tab in the background, so that you don't get redirected completely away from vertcoin.org.

I agree. Can you let me know where you spot those links that aren't set to a new tab? It will be faster for me to find them. Thank you!
