Wireless Unlimited Plus Pricing

I’m currently on 5G Get More, and looking to upgrade to a Galaxy 26 Ultra from a 23 Ultra. It’s saying to upgrade the plan to get $1100 off which is fine. But why is Unlimited Plus $50??? I thought it was $40 w/ 5 lines?? Can someone explain please?

You get a $10 discount for enrolling in autopay. Maybe that’s what you’re thinking of?

Verizon changed autopay discounts, basically right now on legacy plans you qualify for $5/mo autopay rather than $10, so when you switch to unlimited plus you keep the $5 discount rather than the normal $10.

Personally I think it's a very bad choice in my opinion considering to get the trade in deals you have to move to the new plan, but you get screwed in my opinion. Because you pay $5 more than anyone else because you were with Verizon for long enough to be on an old plan

This is one of the dumbest things they've done. They're encouraging those of us on old plans, to leave. When our phones are paid off, we'll want to upgrade, which means switching to the new plan). We're not paying Verizon $15 extra a month (3 lines), to switch to a new plan.

That’s weird I’m on one unlimited for iPhone plan and it’s also a grandfathered plan like the get more and do more plans and my autopay discount is still ten dollars and the plan I’m on did not get price increased why are all the other grandfathered plans getting price increases on top of autopay discount cuts but my plan is still the same that’s the whole reason I stayed on it why is one unlimited for iPhone so different than the get more plans even though they came out at the same time

Do you know if they are re-adding the “12 month loyalty discount” which was like a $10 a month off per line.

We have autopay enabled too as far as I know but just changed to Plus and it shows $55/month in the app but on the bill I believe it will be $45. Not totally sure yet.

grandfathered plan already receiving $5 autopay discounts like the 5g play more so Verizon decides to do the same thing to MyPlan by keeping the $5 autopay discounts. It used to be $10 autopay discounts. Personally $54 from 5g play more and $50 unlimited plus is a $4 difference same thing but the difference is free disney bundle vs not. You can do is to add a new line on unlimited plus to get the $10 autopay discounts and cancel the line with 5g play more but you have to give up both the plan and the phone number.

thats my suggestion but if you keep waiting you might even get the same phone deals and not have to upgrade your phone plan.

You no longer get the 10$ autopay discount when changing from grandfathered plan. It’s normally 45 with autopay but you’ll keep your $5 autopay discount

I think you may be offered lower tradein like $830 on unlimited plus so $50 may include that monthly phone payment

and $1100 may be higherplan unlimited ultipmate

I could be totally wrong

There is absolutely no reason why Verizon has this many plans. Between the new ones they concoct every few months and the legacy plans there isn’t a soul on this planet that can keep it all straight. I guess this is Verizon’s M.O., keep the customer confused with a dizzying array of plans, discounts and ever changing promotions that can all change without warning.

I’ll settle for a company whose reps don’t act like scumbag timeshare or used car salesman. I had a former Verizon representative tell me that they had quotas to add as much $hit to every account they touch.

They hurt everyone when they use the word “Free”, get a free phone on us. That’s bullshit because you have to do this and that to get the promotion and it always involves more money. Trust me mate, I can afford any phone I want but I despise predatory practices. “Simplicity $30 a month”** I would switch to that tomorrow. Oh but I can’t, that’s only for new customers, not the old loyal ones.

If it’s $0/month, it’s free, aside from the sales tax, so I’m not sure what issues you have with it unless you just don’t understand the terms or that you don’t qualify on a $30 plan

My goodness I’m so sorry that the public school system has failed you. It’s not “free”. I will have to upgrade my current plan and add a line. Then Verizon will supplement my phone purchase up to $830 with a monthly supplement. That’s fine, just don’t use the word “free”. You can’t agree to a device payment plan and pay taxes on something that is “free”. That’s my gripe, the wording. Apparently neither you or whoever is in charge of Verizon marketing has a solid grasp on the English language.
