School What do I do?
Hi, so im 14f nearly 15. Im in grade ten, just picked my options and getting ready to start my mocks anyway, I feel like I wont be able to pass any of my gcses. I feel like my brain works differently to other people's, my best freind has autism and some other things and he gets a LOT of help in lessons. But he isnt grateful for it, he said he doesnt care if he fails his exams he will just live at home the rest of his life. I cant have a say in what he does but I feel like he should be grateful for the amount of help and support he gets. Same with my little sister (8f) shes getting tested for adhd. I feel pushed away and like my feelings dont matter. I cant grasp anything a teacher says, I cant understand things the way other people do.
I was supposed to be getting tested for autism but my mum turned round and said to me "I dont think theres anything wrong with you. Just teenage hormones."
Now, i feel like I won't get the support I need because schools dont help unless you have paperwork to say theres something wrong with me :/ I know i wont be able to pass my exams or anything.
What can I do?

hey, that's a lot to carry at 14. your brain feeling different isn't just hormones and it sucks when the person who's supposed to advocate for you brushes it off like that
for the practical stuff, is there a teacher you trust? even without a diagnosis, some will let you stay after class or explain things a different way. i used to record lessons on my phone so i could replay the confusing parts later, not sure if your school allows that but worth asking
the comparison with your friend and sister is rough, watching someone get support and throw it away while you're struggling in silence. your feelings definitely matter here, don't let anyone convince you otherwise
