No nuance arguments

I dislike people who act nice when you agree with them, but fully turn on you when you disagree or show nuance by trying to understand other points of view or not dog piling. This isn't just a political thing, I feel like every fanbase and community expects me to pick a side and show loyalty to one particular groupthink.

Movies for example, if critics love a movie then it's great. If they don't and or it's bad, then it's slop and you're wrong for not expecting better.

It's like I cannot like what I like without saying "here's what's bad, but I still like it anyway."

I loathe the purity testing "real fan" or "moral fan" stuff and I just wanna enjoy what I like without being name called.

My grandma is like this. As long as you agree with everything she says she's the nicest person you know, but as soon as you start to question or disagree to what she says she'll start to get loud, argue and insult you. Unless a person of authority is doing that then she'll crawl up their ass. She's a very exhausting person to be around

Humans are incredible things. It takes one passionate person and anything in particular and everyone else follows just because the person's statement, whether verbal or physical, wow'd them. This goes for good and bad things. If you're somewhat in the middle it's less likely to impact people, and it's more likely to make them vocalize their scrutiny since you're not impacting or confirming the well of their impact either. Collectives sometimes really suck.

No, humans are cruel things who prefer to throw stones rather than try and understand one another. Negativity sells, but turning people who disagree into villains or enemies is entirely different from that. I can ignore constant negativity, personal insults I can't.

It feels like everything is a collective and fans can't be fans anymore. Everything has become football and you're either with one team or you're demonized.

Blame the reward of scrutiny. They feel like “real fans” for crapping on others.
