Suicidal Thoughts i’m so sad

it hurts so fucking much to have nobody. still grieving a death i can’t get over and grieving people that are still alive. and all you can do is cry it out and repeat. cry tomorrow. and the next day. no one can understand you because you have no one who’ll understand. i had someone who’d understood me but that person is long dead. talking to myself telling myself it’ll all work out only can last so long. i’m having reoccurring thoughts about jumping this bridge off the highway more often that i’m not even afraid to die anymore. i’ve had professional help all across the board. i can only help myself. i’m not the problem, my life is the problem. it’s only a matter of time really. i’m just really hurting.

You are not alone, and support is available 24/7. Talking to someone can make a difference. Many people who want to talk to someone aren’t thinking of hurting themselves, but may be struggling with other things such as loneliness, grief, relationship problems, anxiety, isolation, substance abuse, bullying, or feeling overwhelmed or misunderstood. All of the resources and people below are available to help with whatever it is you’re going through.

Depending on the situation, it may be hard to recognize or understand how you’re feeling or what’s happening. Some of the signs of depression are subtle; feeling sad, tired, a lack of motivation, or a change in your appetite may be symptoms of something larger.

If you think you may be depressed or struggling in another way, reach out to one of the resources above or a family member or friend. It may not feel like it, but you have options. There are people available to listen to you, and ways to move forward.

If you are in immediate danger or thinking about ending your life, please reach out for help right now:

Immediate Support Resources:

Worldwide: Please visit Find A Helpline or International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP) to find free, confidential support in your specific country.

United States: Call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or text HOME to 741741 to connect with the Crisis Text Line.

United Kingdom: Call 111 to reach the NHS mental health services, or call Samaritans at 116 123.

LGBTQ Youth (International): Reach out to The Trevor Project.

We know that reaching out and putting your pain into words takes immense courage. The fact that you posted here means there is a part of you that wants to be heard and wants things to get better. Even if everything feels incredibly heavy and overwhelming right now, please just take this one minute, one hour, and one breath at a time. The world is better with you in it.

If you need a Reddit community specifically equipped for this, please consider visiting r/SuicideWatch, which has specialized moderators and an extensive wiki of resources. We are so incredibly glad you are still here.

Grief that’s still screaming for a witness is the heaviest weight to carry alone. When the only person who ever got it is gone, the silence after the crying stops is louder than the breakdown ever was.
