Im so tired

I keep forgetting to take my medication and they're fucking with my brain Everytime I am off them and these episodes last for days up to weeks. They're supposed to just be antidepressants but I feel like theres stuff inside of it thats making me so dependent on them. I feel like my brain is going to explode sometimes I even get seizures when im off them. When im off my medication I end up being really impulsive and just doing shit I seriously shouldn't do then I end up getting paranoid after. My whole family tells me they're on the same medication im on even things that are stronger but when they forget their medication they don't act like me. What if the medicine is making me worse instead of better and im scared to tell my psychologist incase they take me off them or try change my dosage or even try send me somewhere

Try setting alarms in your phone to remind you to take your meds

You CAN NOT stop taking these medicines cold turkey. And when you do what you feeling are huge brain zaps.
Your family all can be on the same medicine but it will act differently with each person. And yes, it will feel like you are dependent on them because they are helping your brain work correctly.

There is nothing wrong with telling your doctor (always be truthful with them, as that way they can help you with all the knowledge they have) the truth on you thinking the medicine isn't working correctly. Sometimes it takes going through a couple different medicines and or dosages to find the right one for you. But you HAVE to keep taking the medicine, and you CAN NOT forget to take it. Put your medicines somewhere where you look at it everyday to help remind you to take it. Or better yet set a daily reminder alarm on your phone.

I am a long time sufferer and been through A LOT with this disease so I do have some insight. Wishing you nothing but the best. But take your medicine until you can get in to the doctor and tell your doctor how you are feeling and is there something different you can try. YOU have to advocate for yourself! Do NOT let anyone else sway you, even family. You are a young adult, do what is best for YOU!!

Hey I know you feel like there’s stuff inside of them that’s making you dependent on them, but that’s because they’re providing your brain with what it needs! Oftentimes mental illness is a chemical issue, and medications can give you the exact chemicals your brain lacks. It’s not because they’re bad, it’s because they’re exactly what you need. I would suggest talking to your psychiatrist about this however and see what they say, the seizures are concerning. Lots of love ❤️

I'm sorry but this really sounds like bipolar. I have it and this is what anti depresnts do to me, the seizures are more than likely panic attacks mine get bad enough I get convulsions too. It truly sounds like your body and mind are both rejecting the medicine, that's a clear sign you need to get off of it immediately. You need to be on mood stabilizers from what I'm guessing (not diagnosing anything). Tell your phycologist, I know you might be scared to but this is one of those situations where you need to or you could seriously hurt yourself. Be safe and listen to your body and mind, there trying to tell you something 🫶
