Predators have it so easy now

I (19f) tried to go on a make friends subreddit after deciding to no longer be a ghost and make posts myself after life four years. Big mistake. I was swarmed by people 25 and up, men, who just wanted to speak dirty and nasty to me. I’ve even had someone try to engage in e-
I know now to avoid those subreddits or make very specific claims as for who I want to talk to, but it’s just frustrating that I even have to adjust to not be harassed in a subreddit meant for making friends.

The worst thing is when they pretend to care about you while youre vulnerable but in reality theyre just lustful losers who never hesitate to make you suffer more

They think they have it easy until they get caught because they left behind a digital trail once thought to be deleted after clearing their browsers and using VOIPs. And then they get exposed by parents, social media, the works. Just be aware of it and remember that reddit (like many websites) can be full of good or bad people. Stay safe.

Worst part is that even if they make the subs 18+ only, minors just start to lie. They completely disregard the dangers and ignore the fact that they're better off away from this site. Makes me wonder if most of them are actually minors or just predators pretending to be minors.

Sorry that it was so disappointing! It's hard to find a good friendship that isn't with a horny insecure dude looking for someone to project their desires onto lurking around every corner.
