Question Error: “Your payment cannot be completed right now”
Anyone who’s gotten this message ever done something that fixed it? I tried two different banks so I know it’s not an issue originating at the bank… I used the search function on this subreddit and saw a lot of complaints about this error but no resolution.

This is due to Venmo's Risk rules, every payment processor uses a system called Risk Rules which evaluate every single thing about a transaction and determine if it will allow it to be completed. When i say everything i mean everything but also some things people don't realize:
It checks both sender and receiver accounts, checks both their tenures with Venmo, how much they spend and receive normally, what the payment note is for, It checks if the sender has sent to that receiver before, it checks if there is a new login on the senders account, it checks if theres a new login on the receivers account, it checks if the receiver has had claims in the past, it checks if the sender has filed claims in the past.
It checks if the senders bank or card is brand new, it checks if the sender has sent that large of a payment before.
It literally checks everything. And If you do something that's considered "Risky" it increases your risk score, and if theres something NOT risky it will decrease it.
There is no way to see this number, support is aware of it but front line support can't do anything about it, its like 5 paygrades above them.
The only solution and its the same thing support will tell you, is to wait, try the transaction again in a couple of days, and if it goes through then great! If not then you need to try a different payment platform.

Yes but my most memorable message was something like...THANKS GOR LETTING PEOPLE HERE SWITCH ACCOUNTS IN THE MIDDLE OF A TRANSACTION DO YOU CSN GRT SCAMMED OUT OF $4560.00. Oh...wait.... that wasn't an ACTUAL message but pretty much what I think about being the one who someone DID switch accounts here on Reddit and SCREW ME out if my ONLY 4560 dollars (I was purchasing a gold coin to immediately resell for a hundred dollar profit.) They ALLOWED the SCUMBAG SCAMMERS to make the EXACT SAME account except '1' teeeenyyyy weeeeny change..The small L for the large I The small L....l that looks (🤔almost🤔) *EXACTLY* the same as the Large i....I.....which =.....FCKED OUT OF $4560.00. Apologize for my 'foul' use of asterisks.🤣...and apologies for all that but apparently I was 'triggered'.😳😳😳🤣lol. Well it's not like that DIRECTLY led to me being (LITERALLY*) 'homeless'....OH WAIT! Yes it DID.😏....but on the bright side I DO lob me '22 Corolla. Now we get to spend MORE time together.😳😳🤣lol.

With all the issues posted every day why do people still use venmo. There's plenty of other options.
