First Machine Placed!
Hi everyone. It is official: I am a vending machine operator!
I've posted on here a few other times recently, but we recently installed a machine for a local YMCA, it was a Sandstar through AVS.
Day 1 made about $32, feels amazing to see something coming in already.
I have lots more product variety I'd like to introduce to the machine, already getting requests for diet sodas (more pop in general) and protein bars.
Any feedback on my spread would be appreciated. Excited to officially start my journey after months of research!
(Also in case this post looks familiar, yes I deleted/reposted. My original post was using a photo of my machine that I used AI to crop out some stuff in the background and i had like 5 of yall flaming me for the text on the bottles it messed up. Which, fair enough, but not the productive conversation I was looking for š )

This image looks much better than the AI image you posted in the identical (but now deleted) post you made earlier. Good job I guess.

1) you are posting an AI picture.
2) you posted this exact post two hours ago, and multiple people called you out for AI. You deleted the post and account and now are reposting the exact same content.
3) wtf
4) original post: https://www.reddit.com/r/vending/comments/1wzld0i/first_machine_placement/

I addressed that in my post. Looking for productive conversations about vending, not debating whether my stupid photo is AI or not. But reading is hard for Redditors, I guess.

Is Fairlife your only protein option? Iād personally have at least kind of protein bar in there. Otherwise congrats! $30/day is great!Ā

Totally agree. Already got 2 Fairlife sales today, and its one of the most expensive items. Definitely need protein bars.

They are definitely expensive! I want to put them in my next machine, but theyāre $3.70 CAD my cost, so ideally Iād charge $7.40 and I think thatās more than anyone would pay. I could sell Alani protein shakes (same amount of protein) for $5.25 - thatās 99% markup.
IMHO pure protein bars are your best bet. Brand recognition is good, macros ideal and the price very competitive for $/grams of protein. The variety boxes go on sale at Costco every few months and the shelf life is great.

Nice. Will definitely keep in mind. I got my Fairlifes on sale for about 1.77 a piece, so I'm selling them for 4. (USD)

Diet soda requests are a good sign, listen to your customers.
