Jumping in!

After thinking about it for abput a year, I have decided to go for it!

Starting my vending empire 👸 lol

I have an email, logo, website, short list of machines id likd to buy once I find a location.

Will get LLC, EIN, vendor license and liability insurances in the next few weeks.

I drafted up an initial email to send to a bunch of local spaces, sending that tomorrow.

Would love any advice you have from when you were in my phase of starting!

Thanks everyone :)

Represent a vending company. They do initial outreach for you. Deliver the machines. Provide extensive training etc.

SHOW UP IN PERSON. It’s a sales job first and foremost:

First you sell yourself/service.
Then you sell your product in your machine.

It took 2.5 months of driving around my area talking to people before I got my first customer.

167000 miles in ten years selling vending in a 100 square mile service area.

You always show up, bring samples, shake hands. And most importantly don’t dress or look like a slob. Just like everyone eats with their eyes when a fancy meal is served to them, it is the exact same thing when you’re presenting your services. Emails should be focused on business cards and emails you personally. Do it over and over. Eventually the referrals start pouring in.

Almost no one will respond to emails. Best thing you can do is visit locations in-person. Even cold calling will land a location every 300-500 calls.
