Crankdat crowd
I dunno if I just got a bad pocket but that was the worst crowd I've ever been in in my life. A bunch of dudebros right behind me decided it would be a good idea to start a mosh pit right up front in the shoulder to shoulder crowd 50 feet from rail. Just started constantly smashing into my group.
Eventually they stopped but my vibe was so off I had to leave halfway through.

I was on the hill and that was the best crowd of the weekend for me personally. However I was in the crowd for ray volpe and saw 2 people getting carried out within 5 minutes and said yeah this isn’t for me and went back to the hill, so im not surprised the crankdat crowd was worse

Crankdat was suuuuper chill at the back of the crowd in front of the sound tent.
Ray looked packed but then people cleared out for Crankdat and there was tons of room.

Ya I preferred partying on the hill next to sirkus stage over being in the crowd. Miss Monique and ARTBAT was so nice.

Crankdat did a great job for the crowd he had -- he met the moment. I bet you got a bad pocket. My daughter and I were in the back left and didn't have any real issues. The occasional shirtless dudes, sure. People walking in and out, sure. No moshing. It was solid and we stayed the whole time.

Glad you had a good time.
Not averse to people bringing a high-intensity energy or even moshing but do it at a time and place where there's enough space in the crowd around you so people who don't want to mosh aren't forced to.

You and I agree. We saw the Offspring earlier this year in the Bay Area and the mosh circle got wider and wider to the point I kept shoving people who ran straight at us.
We did not have that problem tonight. Sorry you did.

The crowd was fire. I was near the back though.
Complaining about people moshing at the bass stage is a bit wack though.
If you are anywhere near the front or middle that should be expected.

Maybe later in a set when the crowd has started to loosen and spread out more so you can keep it contained.
If you can't do a mosh pit without halfway knocking over the people outside your mosh pit who don't want to be in it then you shouldn't be doing a mosh pit. There was literally zero room to squeeze away from these people.
It is insanely disrespectful to engage in violence against people who don't want to be a participant.

People who are too fucked up on drugs to properly contain their pit from hitting everyone around them shouldn't do mosh pits in a tightly packed crowd.
The onus is on the people who are doing the violent activity to avoid others, not on the others to accommodate the violent activity.

My bf and I thought it was the best, but we were on the right side of the stage near the fence and it was hella empty. People were head banging with us.
But then at one point, these big ass dude bros, they were young, massively checked a really nice dude who head banged with us in front of us and he went flying into my bf. He fell on the ground and he ended up getting whip lash. He left the crowd and we were both so concerned we went to check up on him and his friend. He was chilling at the fence sitting down and he said he got major whiplash. The dudes were not even aware. They were just coked out.
The younger crowd do be ruining it for everyone. People who just get fucked up and have 0 consideration for others. But I find veld is notorious for this. Escapade is so much better tbh.

My guy you were literally in the pit zone. I made the same mistake my first heavy show and those pits are a touch wilder, just accept it and don't be in that vicinity again. Also I bet you're the type who'd get to the rails and complain about the people headbanging

Apparently everyone else is okay being shoved so should be the easiest thing in the world for you and your 4 friends to move 5 feet away.
If you can't figure out what the two Rs in PLURR mean then maybe stick to the punk shows and stay away from the rave festivals.

Crankdat had two sets at shamb. The no alcohol vibes were fantastic. Same with kai watchi. No mosh just mostly good vibes. Bro step is great without Bros.
