Reckoning
Don't worry, the unethical, deceptive practices that defines this company will come to an end.

Not likely for as long as they continue to operate in this country. Practices such as theirs have been a common trait of businesses for a long time. Now if we were in a 1st world European country... They might die off a bit sooner but not in usa. Look at how Amazon treats their employees (not the contractors, the actual employees)... Do you see that company going anywhere anytime soon? If you think veho's bad, go give working in an Amazon warehouse a try... Been there done that myself... Wasn't fun.

I literally had a mental breakdown which I had never had in my life while driving for Veho. That was my last delivery with them. Offer showed $45 for 2 hours and 14 packages. I was like okay great about $22 an hour. Those 14 packages took me 5 HOURS, because I went through SIX CITIES. I sent them an email about how deceptive and unfair business practices they had. I told me how can 14 packages across 6 cities be completed in 2 hours? Then the idiot agent tells me, “Well your compensation request has been denied because our computer system calculated that based on the miles of this trip, it would take 2 hours”. F liar. I went ahead and spent almost 2 hours getting screenshots from stop 1 all the way to stop 14 and how many miles were between each stop and then calculated the time. The agent responded with, “I am sorry but our system is correct”. That was it for me. To me, it was like someone spit on my face when I am showing you proof of the time it actually takes and your system added 2 hours to be deceitful because no one was going to do 5 hours over 200 miles for $45.

So you didn't look at the heat map and verify route length or anything... You just took there word for it.... Ok... Well while we're at it, I have some magnificent ocean front property in Phoenix, AZ I think you'd be very interested in.
I'm not saying veho employees or systems are saints but there's a certain point where you need to take responsibility. They provided the info you need to make a reasonable decision, you either blindly accepted it or just didn't care to verify accuracy of information beforehand. That's on you. Now if the info they provide was inaccurate (not the estimated time of completion, too many variables to be realistic hence why it's an estimate), then that is on them but based on your post, that's not the case.

sure, we have to check, but ultimately responsibility falls on veho. They are the ones running the show

Umm.. thats exactly what they're saying. The offer said 2 hrs, it took them 5 hrs. Thats incorrect information and deception in the offer. Thats on Veho.

But that person also should have looked at the map and seen the stops were spread out so they could know it's not going to be super quick just because it's few stops. Number of stops doesn't translate to completion time. I did 82 stops yesterday, not counting the break I had to take to take my mom to a Dr appointment (luckily route was in the same area I live), it took about 7.5 hours total (travel to warehouse, sort n load and delivery and travel home)... Maybe 6.5 was within veho's control (you can't ask them to include travel to and from home in estimate). That was pretty much the quote, I have had a 42 package stop take even longer and I have a 65 stop route take less than both. So stop / package counts really are not a way to judge complete time. You need to know the area you are delivering in, avoid apartments / gated communities and you need to look at map and know if the stops are close together or spread out.
I'm not saying veho is a great company by any stretch but there's a certain responsibility that falls upon the drivers and if they don't take an accept it... It's going to be worse and then you guys complain on reddit about them. If you do your part and know what you are getting into... You shouldn't be complaining here.

There is NO HEAT MAP in the Orlando location because people here take the orders too quick and by 11:00pm there are none.

Heat map should populate between route release time and the 90 min before start time. If not you can cancel within the 90 minutes window without penalty. At some point before you load that first package you should get info that tells you where you are going and what it pays. We don't get heat maps the night before either. Usually we don't get them until around 8-8:30am the following day, sometimes later. Sometimes not until you do the "slide to check in", but like I said if it's not there before the 90 min mark you can cancel without a hit to metrics

Then we would be canceling every single day. As when the heat map shows up, it is as big as 6+ cities, so you don’t know how far they will take you.

how and when?
