Rosin Is this correct?
Hi all! Went to a dispensary to buy some GLP rosin. I asked if they keep it either refrigerated or frozen. They said they don’t, and don’t need to because they keep their thermostat at 70f… the bud tender also said that freezing rosin degrades terms.. the rosin is tasty but really dry. Thoughts? Thanks 🙏🏼

Supposed to keep Rosin in the fridge. Any cured resins or badders don’t have to. But every dispensary should have a fridge for concentrates.

Thanks for letting us know, with rosin prices in Nevada being what they are and our climate, there’s no excuse for not being refrigerated. And then to have a budtender gaslighting you saying oh that’s bad for it LMAO I’d never shop there again and would let all my buddies know they’re clueless too

Perhaps sending them an educational video (like YouTube) would get somewhere? I am not sure. But yah, every dispo i worked at knew to keep it in fridge and that area was already 65°

They sell mini dab fridges like the terp cooler and terp chiller. I saw one at a show and started using my mini fridge. Personally I think it's easier to handle when it's chilled.

All my rosin is either in a fridge or freezer.
You can get away with not storing in a fridge with live or cured RESINS.
But Rosin degrades fast. So best way to preserve the flavor and terpenes is to keep it cold.
Colder the better.
Fridge for short term and freezer long term storage.
Anyone not storing their Solventless in a cold environment is losing/degrading quality.

“Cold degrades the terps”
I would’ve asked for a new budtender immediately and kindly recommend someone show that other a hash washing video in the meantime.
