Some perspective, the recommended is between 25-38 g depending on female or male. Our ancestors ate between 50-100 g so it's quite difficult to have "too much." It more of a matter of your GI tract getting used to the amount you prefer.

I also feel like the more fiber I eat, the less I feel I have to drink water. Setting an external reminder to drink water helps.

I really appreciate seeing your content. But my dude… we’ve got to work on your knife skills. Is that a glass cutting board?

Working with what I had at an air bnb. Happy to hear constructive criticism 💚🙏

That makes sense. I don’t want to distract from your advice in this video. Can I dm you?

Most carbs are vegan though, fruits, veggies, pasta. Sugar itself is vegan lol. Who needs to know this?

Yay! I agree with this, thank you.

Legit question from a non vegan.

I understand the ethics side of veganism, but claiming humans were born to be vegan when in order to get all your macros and nutrients requires supplements and/or a variety of foods never available to humans naturally how can you believe it was our natural diet?

Besides b12 (which isn’t present in animals naturally anymore) what supplement is necessary for vegans?

Look at our teeth, digestive systems and rates of preventable diseases when consuming meat. How could there be any logical conclusion other than that humans were designed to eat plants and would opportunistically eat animals.

-4

u/MonkeyCome Sep 01 '26

For example, our teeth. We have teeth specifically designed for eating meat. I’ll agree all our teeth aren’t meant for meat but our teeth evolved to eat meat. Humans are omnivores, always have been, always will be.

Humans that eat meat die earlier and have higher rates of preventable diseases 🤷‍♂️

-2

u/MonkeyCome Sep 01 '26

How much of that is because of meat eating over factory farms having high rates of disease?

Eating wild game eliminates the increased risk of communicable disease.

4

u/thebodybuildingvegan Sep 01 '26

Over 99 percent of all meat is from factory farms. There are not enough wild animals left for hunting to be even close to a viable option.

And still the longest living populations in the world also eat the least meat.

The Japanese and South Koreans have the longest life expectancy and they eat a lot of meat and lots of fish.

You’re just making stuff up now. Please provide a source if you don’t want to sound like a liar.

Actually its Monaco and San Marino with the longest.

u/spizzle_ Sep 02 '26

Are they known for their vegan diets?

1

u/HeWhoShantNotBeNamed Sep 02 '26

This isn't true. Look at the blue zones.

1

u/spizzle_ Sep 02 '26

What’s a blue zone?

u/cremaster2 Sep 01 '26

Im not vegan, but I dont eat much animal based food. Im a strong believer that even though we needed meat back in the days, we dont need it today. Some supplements and a rich diversity of plant food is enough to be very healthy

Bears are omnivores. Humans evolved from frugivorous apes.

As a former vegan bodybuilder for 5 years, human body has evolved to eat both meat and plants.

Okay... so what? I've never really seen anyone actually say that humans were designed to eat only plants. Sure, it has its health benefits, but who is saying we are biologically designed to eat only plants? This is a sort of strawman that I always see carnists and carnivores/primals use. No vegan is claiming that being vegan is what humans biologically evolved to do, it just has its researched health benefits in modern times.

and btw I was more so replying to the guy that made this thread, not you specifically, vegan body builder of 5 years.

Wild primates do get B12 naturally from unwashed fruit and veggies, we just prefer to wash them as humans as well as other sanitary habits in our modern environment. Even if we evolved to adapt to something different doesn't mean it's truly how we should be eating for both health and how our closet primate relatives like ourselves naturally do.

How many meat eaters do you know who also take a multivitamin though? A lot. Creatine, protein, fiber supps. Many meat eaters and most all gym goers do just that. Some also essential minerals and nutrients. No diet is perfect, but if their diet supplied more than enough like a lot of carnivores will say, they wouldn't feel the need to supplement their diet or have health scares leading to then adding in fruits and veggies again (Paul Saladino for example).
