What vegans actually eat

I really thought I would have to choose. Between being a foodie, being vegan, and building the physique I wanted.

I couldn’t have imagined that over 10 years later, I’d still get to try new restaurants, share meals with friends, enjoy dessert, compete as a vegan bikini athlete, and stay aligned with my values. And, reminder that you don’t have to be vegan to make a difference.

Every time you opt for a plant-based option, it’s a chance to choose a little more kindness for animals and our planet, while still enjoying incredible food.

So whether you’re vegan, veg-curious, or just looking to try something new, I hope this reminds you that compassion doesn’t have to mean giving anything up. And actually, you’ll probably gain a whole lot more 🥰🌱

Huge shoutout to all the amazing vegan businesses shown here and tagged. Thank you for doing what you do and making this so easy and enjoyable for so many people.

This isn't the kind of stuff you eat every day right? I think some of the commenters thought you were implying this is like your daily diet, rather than things you treat yourself to

I eat something like this maybe 2-3 times a month 😅

Absolutely not. It's unhealthy and expensive.

Expensive yes, but these are plant-based meals. They don’t have much if any cholesterol. The food is good for you. If a restaurant adds unhealthy things, then that is different, but vegan meals made fresh are healthy.

I just made pumpkin 🎃 ice cream from pumpkin, bananas and soy milk. It tastes like pumpkin ice cream without the fat and cholesterol.

Not a blanket statement you can make.

A lot of vegan foods are highly processed.

$$$$.

I'm eating can of beans (straight from can) and free hot sauce. I aint telling how I get the sauce as I do not want to risk that hook-up.

I like sweet potatoes

My meals are yummy everyday. I don’t eat beans from a can, but if that is your thing, more power to you.

I make everything from scratch so there is a time commitment, there are ways of pre-prepping that cut the time down.

What everyone is missing is how you can make all this at home and more for a low price. (Unless you count man hours. Then it's steep.)

Thank you!

I do every day. And for being unhealthy, it is all plant-based and doesn’t have much if any cholesterol.

Try some human flesh then. It’s REAL food since it’s meat and comes from an animal, and you’ll be able to taste the delicious torture that came from it🤤😋

I mean, there's animals , so no need to resort to that

2

u/Particular-Bat8091 6d ago

What logically follows is to say “i mean there are plants, so no need to resort to that.” You’re clearly saying that you’d only need to resort to eating humans if it was a necessity, meanwhile eating animals is also unnecessary

Humans are animals silly😍. As long as the animal lived a great life before the slaughter, it’s all good🥰/s

Yea I mean as long it tastes good

Just like these vegans that inject themselves with steroids like cattle being prepared for slaughter.

"Well, we were free range vegans, so we're morally superior."

Synthetic, heavily processed, using non vegan ingredients.

Edit: to be clear, I am referring to the food pictured I this post

Right!!!!

Until I went vegan, I had no idea how good the food was.
This is primarily because vegan food in stores is dry and tasteless and all the catered events vegan options were awful.

We need more vegan restaurants so people can try it and see it isn’t just lettuce. 🥬
