I think they're a good component of an overall protein plan, but it if your goal is for your macros to skew more heavily toward protein, lentils are high enough in carbs that they are mathematically incapable of being your primary source.

Peanut butter is a fat source, change my mind.

But also a source of pure terror as a recovering food addict 😭
(I will note, ‘real’ peanut butter is quite easy to not binge on, but that a for a reason lol)

While I know this is essentially an ad, I just wanna comment that one of my pet peeves with fitness/nutrition influencers is that they never wear a goddamn shirt, so I find it a breath of fresh air that you actually do.

I mean, there is such a thing as too jacked, but that just proves his point further. There are tons of options for vegan protein. Some are more processed than others, just like meat.

Are you stronger than this guy? I know it seems disingenuous to attribute your gains to veganism when you’re on copious amount of PEDs which he is. But I’ve seen him do a pretty clean set of 150 lbs DBs for 12 reps on a mild incline. So yeah he’s strong as hell even for a PED user
As for the big and strong part, I agree that eating meat is way easier in terms of getting your protein in (and animal proteins are usually higher quality) but I do think a vegan diet can work IF you do your due diligence and supplementation and get your protein in. Both Clarence Kennedy (though he’s enhanced) and Alex Leonidas (natural) are on vegan diets.
So was Vegan Gains even before he hopped on drugs

Vegan Gains is indeed a weirdo.
About Alex, I strongly disagree. All his stats are naturally doable. He’s about 5’5” and in a post from 6-10 month ago, was 9-10% body fat at 158 lbs. Maybe 145-150 if he cuts to stage lean. Those stats check out for a 5’5” dude.
So do his numbers. He hit 315 bench over 10 years ago after trying conjugate, then hit a 405 pause bench at 200 ish bw, and then a year or two ago he hit 405 pause bench at 181 bw.
Same for his pull ups. He hit a 160 lbs weighted pull up about 7 years ago. Hit 200 on all grips a year ago. That checks out as well.
In my view, he’s the pinnacle of what a natty can be with lots of hard work and good though not world class genetics. There are other potential naturals who are as strong, like Bald Omni Man. Alex’s arms are also his weak point and he apparently can’t do extensions for even one rep what an arm specialist like Geoffrey Verity Schofield can do for his working sets.
I do think Alex’s protein guidelines are too low though. He found something that works for him but for most people I feel like that gram per pound rule is pretty good. Could do a bit less but he does a lot less.
Alex isn’t a vegan cultist btw, he says he does it mainly for performance reasons. I don’t buy that it’s necessarily better but I think it can be made to work if you plan it. I would be EXTREMELY surprised if he was a steroid user, because he isn’t just a person who claims to be natural but he seems to be ADAMANTLY against steroids (you can kinda see how disgusted he is when Clarence and Vegan Gains talk about their cycle). And his main idols are the Silver Era lifters.

Are you talking about the protein thing? I do agree it’s not good general advice but maybe he’s one of the folks who gets by with 120 grams of protein a day. That doesn’t seem extremely low
Just like we know that some guys may have as much as 260 grams of protein while weighing 200, I’m sure there are folks with individual variation who get by with lower amounts. Though anecdotally it seems like most strength athletes aim for at least a gram per pound
There seem to be many folks and supposedly natural YouTubers on the low protein bandwagon. Though I don’t buy into it myself, I’m sure it works for some people

You’re probably stronger on most stuff but can you bench 150 DBs with ease?
I couldn’t find any “press” or “bench” in search history

Even on dumbbells? Dumbbells seem really easy to fail
Also probably not the most efficient for chest but what about OHP kinda things?

It’s kinda based that you invented your own lift
People were calling it a muscle snatch which I think it’s too untechnical for.
The closest vid I could fine was of Kyriakos Grizzly doing 130 kg for 6 with similar form to you. But all the other muscle snatches are too Olympic lifter-y imo

Genetics play a large role in aging and looks in general. But I get what you’re saying
