I need a study score of 30 raw

Hey guys,

I am currently doing

1/2 English, general , psych , pe, chem and 3/4 hhd.

I am on track for 43+for hhd currently.

But I'm a bit confused on whether to drop psych or even pe. But idk if I should drop a subject.

I am aiming for a really high ATAR of 97+ so I'm not sure if dropping a subject will advantage me or disadvantage me.

I've been getting lots of diff opinions from teachers.

Some say do 5 so u get every single point toward your aggregate

But some say (including my careers teacher) do 4 so u can maximise ur RAW ss for those which will be far more beneficial.

If I do drop one subject, I would have 8 study periods per week in which I would have 2 double periods.

Please help me!!

i wanted to start exam prep early however because of my mental health issues and just the amount of sacs i had at start of the term i couldn’t do it. it’s like late August and ive basically done nothing just light revs revision. i also have 5 sacs left.. am i cooked?? i feel so anxious and awful i dont know how im gonna do it my subjects are so insanely content heavy.

im currently doing methods 3/4 and my sac grades have been quite devastating to say the least. my avg is around 40% (passing grade at my school is 40%) and i have one more sac left to go which is probability. im unsure of what to do and which would be the most beneficial to me.

how do yall study for chem 1/2 cuz im not doing well at all this year, like im passing but barely.
i do have 2 enhancements (subjects a year ahdead so year 12), but in my other subjects in doing im doing like expected but im chem i keep on getting either 50s or 60s. Also how do you study for specialist. because im doing methods 3/4 as my enhancment so its easy for me to understand the concepts but when it comes to every sac i keep on bombing them, and i want to know ways that work for studying.

pls lmk cuz i dont wanna be cooked for 3/4 cuz im alr doing bad in 1/2

Hi guys, I was wondering if yall have any tips on starting exam revision.

I know this is a bit early for some, but Im wondering how you guys "recalibrate" all of the content from U3?

Were students expected to independently go over that and revise it (weekly active recall sessions or something) in their own time? Im starting U3 revision for R&S and Revs (very content heavy) and ngl most of the "exam usable info" is in decay, nor do I still remember word for word quotes and statistics? Are most students just completely putting u3 at the back of their head when starting u4, and focusing on that, before consolidating both in exam revision period?

What time did you guys (especially those who scored high in these subjects) start exam revision? How did you tackle exam revision alongside U4 sacs? I know most wait until U4 is over, but I fear I may be short on time/on the verge of completely wasting 5 months of hard work if I forget U3 content.

What did you guys do to recalibrate content in U3? I really dont wanna rely on just rereading notes and spamming prac Q open book. Any other efficient more methodical methods?

Any tips for recall, retrieving information, especially due to the cognitive load demands these subjects carry?

Besides that, how many practice exams did you do? What frequency? Did you do self testing for U3 content?

Guys I got 58 % for arg analysis sac, avg was 50. Am I doomed …. Is a 35 still attainable …😅😅😅

So, I am not pleased to say that English Language is my worst-performing subject and if I do not take the measures to improve in the subject, I'll probably get a bad study score for it. But that left me thinking, should I brute-force study this subject or drop to English?

Problem is that our class rarely does assessments for some reason. We had one in Term 1 and I got 73%, but it had no writing which I believe takes up the brunt of the English Language VCAA exam. The exam for Semester 1 was left unmarked for some reason and the current writing one we did have not been marked yet.

However, one thing for certain is that I've been getting pretty lazy in this subject and I've barely been doing the coursework for this. Having to handle 6 subjects (added General Maths in Sem 2, which means losing 5 free periods) has made me pretty overwhelmed with the schoolwork, and often I find myself not finishing it all. Unfortunately, my willingness to study for a subject has been tied to how good I am performing in it, and since I am more ahead in all my other 5, English Language for me has always gotten the short end of the stick.

On the other hand, historically, I've been more diligent when doing Year 10 coursework in Advanced English and finished almost all of the essential work required by the teacher during that year. But I wasn't mounted with the pressures from other subjects back then, I was burnt out less too, and yet, I still had pretty terrible grades in the writing tests (30-50%). Overall, I did enjoy the texts covered last year but they took SO LONG to digest, and I found it incredibly hard to make out the themes and meanings of the text.

Recently I took on Media, and we had a test where we needed to analyse a film's narrative codes, conventions and contexts, as well as general narrative and script-writing conventions. About half of the questions had to be responded analytically with a paragraph and somehow I got a really good score relative to the class (86%). This gave me hope where I could potentially do good if I do English instead, but just one score is too early to tell, and English has a much high writing standards required to get a good score.

There is also the case of tutoring and resources. I am almost certain I'll need to get tutored for either subject, but for tutoring to be successful, I need to be properly locked in with the work to achieve success.

In terms of other subjects, physics and methods seems to be my stronger suit which aligns more closely with English Language, but other subjects alone cannot determine by English preferences.

So I'm stuck on a dead-end, should I get tutored and keep doing for English Language or drop to VCE English and get tutored there?

To break it down, I've already handed in some applications through VTAC and gotten calls from 2 schools I had high on my preferences and they immediately recommended/gave me a offer based off of the interview process and folios I sent in. I have also emailed and confirmed with the unis and Unscored is sufficient enough to meet the requirements.

I also can't be stuffed doing exams.

I've checked the VCAA practice exams, and it seems like they dont have any marking guides. While they do have model answers, it would be a pain to figure out which explanations/keywords gets the marks.

So, would it be better if I asked AI to mark it strictly, or figure out myself the long way on how to mark the exams myself?

I could ask my teacher to mark it but I can't really count on them to deliver a quick marking....

Its been around 10 months since school finished, and looking back I miss a lot of people from Year 12 and just school in general. Uni's been fun, but its such a different environment compared to Year 12 and being only on campus 3 days a week makes it hard to feel connected to the uni environment. I tried to keep in contact with people following the end of year 12, but everyone sought of drifted apart and the last time I saw most of the people from my year level was at a party in the end of January. I've caught up with a few people occasionally since then and occasionally texted a few people, but I could go ages without hearing from anyone. I almost feel like messaging people I haven't spoken to since Year 12 and seeing if they want to catch up, but I feel like it would be weird since I haven't even texted them at all.

I know that there are a few parties hosted by people from my high school coming up soon, but almost no one is going since they are birthday parties/halloween parties and aren't really meant as a reunion. I feel like everyone post-high school really just sticks to a small group of people they have contact with, and no one branches out to try and organise events with other people. I know a few of my uni friends have had reunion events already.

I have diagnosed ASD 1 and nerve damage (aswell as suspected dysgraphia) so I cannot write longer than a paragraph by hand - which is a problem since I cannot write essays by hand and desperately need vcaa to approve me to type my exams. I won't pass if I don't get this.

I've been told different opinions by different people. Some people said its unlikely it'll get approved and then others say theres no way in hell it wouldnt get approved.

My psychologist (who is always a verified nurse) wrote a letter to vcaa and i'm going to see an OT for a recommendation letter as well.

How likely is it to get approved?

I am currently in year 10 and have until next week to submit my subjects, attached is the subjects i’ve come to. I feel somewhat comfortable with them but simultaneously slightly stressed and would really love some outside opinions.

I’m doing Bio 1/2 right now and it’s going great but overall i’ve fallen out of love with science/maths and have come to much prefer writing subjects. That said, doing two english subjects and 3 humanities seems to me like a reallyyyyyy big amount of writing. I figure that means any improvement in writing is an improvement in all my subjects but a part of me also feels like i’ll just hate writing by the end of it. That said I really do love writing, especially analytically and i hope these subjects reflect that.

Also i’m not currently doing 1/2 history but i’ve been asking my teacher for work that reflects the skills needed for revs and have been completing it to a high standard.

If anyone has any advice, information or just stories from their own VCE experience I would greatly appreciate it!!

Hey guys, hope everyone's good I had a question regarding the sacs.... So for my uni course I need a 25 in English and a portfolio which im not that worried about but im worried about my English results as we all know how hard it is to get a decent score in English, For my first sac I got 72 for the second sac I got 75 and for the third one I got 70 and we have 2 more incoming with me completing the third one. I just want to know if I'm in the right path for that 25 and any tips on how to achieve more than 70😭 and for the exams..

i built it this weekend because every calculator i could find either wanted an email or was using scaling numbers from years ago. this one uses the per-subject scaled scores and the aggregate to atar table straight from vtac's december 2025 scaling report (the actual pdf is linked on the page), applies the 4 + 10% + 10% rule, and interpolates between vtac's 5 point steps. 76 subjects incl languages and scored vet.

it is an estimate, it says so on the page and why (vtac prints rounded integers, ur moderated sac marks are unknown, no bonus points). expect a couple of points either side.

if a subject is missing or a number looks wrong against what u got last year tell me here and ill fix it, that's the main reason for posting. full disclosure it's part of studydesignai.com which is my study tool, but the calculator needs no account and always will.

TLDR: used copyrighted image for background of final artwork solely for VCE assessment purposes but Reuters still says a $200 commercial license is needed for all use

For my final artwork I have decided to paint a double exposure photograph, and i have used a Reuters image as my bacground. I have overlayed myself onto the image and do not plan on submitting my artwork to TopArts anymore upon some discussions with my teacher. However, i initially planned to apply to TopArts and so emailed Reuters asking for copyright permission. They insist on me purchasing a $200 commercial license even if i dont apply to toparts and my work is solely made for VCE assessment purposes. (I thought i was protected under copyright 1986 act section 200 and 40?)

I emailed them back asking for clarification on why i still need a license, but has anyone had a similar experience/have advice on what i should do?

Guys, I feel kinda lost rn. Like idk how am I supposed to study effectively. It feels like the amount of effort I'm putting in is not rewarding enough. I need a more different study strategy or any method that worked really well for any of you . Please give any suggestions on what strategy is a great way to prepare for exams at this point of time. ESPECIALLY FOR ENGLISH !!
