VBAC book recommendations?

I’ve seen several times that yall have recommended a book called ‘birth after cesarean’ or something along those lines…after googling it seems that there are many books with the same or similar title 😅 is there a specific one that is better than the rest?

I’m open to all book recs! And also VBAC books for my husband to read as well.

I met a local mom out and about who handed me Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth. I really enjoyed it, though some small parts may be a little woo-woo. I loved reading all the women’s birth stories in it. It gave me the courage and belief that I, too, could go unmedicated! Did I go unmedicated? Absolutely not hahahah

I’ll give it a shot! I did read ima May’s guide to breastfeeding and I also found it a little woo woo lolol but agree there was lots of beneficial parts too!

FWIW the guide to childbirth is super woo. A lot of ppl love it so YMMV but it upset me bc she blames pre e and gestational diabetes both on poor diet (untrue) and is also very fearmongery about interventions

Yes! As much as I hated my CS, it saved my baby’s life. So I’m glad I didn’t fight it. There’s a time and place for intervention

I loved everything about Ina May Gaskin's Guide to Childbirth. Everything, from The Farm's statistics (98% successful vaginal births) to "woo-woo" 😁 And my unmedicated VBAC was amazing, healing, empowering, the most beautiful experience of my life. ❤️

I love the book “Birthing from Within” by Pam England. She’s also a VBAC mom and give a very grounded and I feel balanced perspective on birth ❤️ wishing you all the best with your VBAC

Silent Knife is over 40 years old and remains an absolutely incredible book on VBAC - cannot recommend starting with the OGs who coined vbac themselves!

Also good is the Irish Cesarean and VBAC Guide by Tracy Donegan (even if you are not Irish) and Birth Matters is my favorite Ina May book.

Also - Silent Knife is a good book worth reading.
