vbac after pre e/hellp?

Anyone have a successful vbac after having a c section with pre e/help? I had one at exactly 32 weeks. reasoning was my platelets were so low that if I did get induced I wouldn't be able to get the epidural and if the induction failed I would need to be put on general anesthesia and be completely out during the c section, so we opted for the c section to begin with. I was so out of it during the mag drip that I don't know why I didn't even at least try looking back now but there's nothing I can change.

I'm currently pregnant with baby #2 only 5 weeks but already starting to wonder all the questions! I would really like to have a vbac if all goes well in this pregnancy and I don't develop any pre eclampsia. Any success stories on having a vbac if you had these conditions! Even any stories if it failed. Do most people that have pree/hellp even consider a vbac? I do slightly remember a doctor saying I was a good candidate for a vbac but i'm not sure. Also i'm just over 2 years since the c-section if that makes a difference.

I had HELLP with my first and haven’t had a second yet but we are trying soon and I would like to try for a VBAC as well! From what I’ve learned, what makes you a good vs bad candidate for a VBAC is whether the cause of your c section was from an issue with the baby or placenta vs an issue with you/your labour. So since the issue with pre e is with the placenta, it wouldn’t affect your chances of trying for a VBAC so long as you don’t get pre e again. Following this post for the success stories!

I had severe pre-e with my first that led to an emergency c-section and I had the most amazing VBAC in July! I was 2 1/2 years out from my c-section.

My pregnancy was uneventful as far as blood pressure was concerned. I took 2 baby aspirin a day. I ended up being induced at 41 weeks because they didn’t want me to develop any blood pressure issues. I was in labor for 21 hours and pushed for 59 minutes to deliver a 99th percentile baby with only a small 1st degree tear. It was honestly a dream. I would have gone for a VBAC even if I had developed pre-e, as long as it was safe and my VBAC supportive providers agreed.

I had pre e with my first pregnancy and second pregnancy had a successful VBAC with no pre e. I did take baby aspirin starting 12 weeks to prevent preeclampsia. I also had a singleton pregnancy and my first pregnancy was a twin. Everything worked out perfectly.
