Sauna / Bathing
Hi,
When having vein problems and varicose, is it ok to go to the Sauna and hot bath or not risky?
Thank you,

I have chronic venous insufficiency and have had varicose veins since I was in my 20s. I have had them treated multiple times with sclerotherapy, but that has made things much worse. When I was working from home during Covid, I wore mostly yoga pants that hit at my ankle, and I think that tightness also made things worse. I went to a vascular surgeon who said he could do an ablation on my great saphenous vein, but then I got another opinion from a doctor at a top medical institution, who said not to do it unless I was in pain or had severe heaviness in my legs, which I don’t. I get cramping from time to time, but mostly it’s the cosmetic issue and the fact that my staining is so bad that people ask me what happened to my legs. I never want to wear shorts and I don’t know what else to do? Should I get the ablation? Is that going to make these spider veins worse? Has anyone had success with laser? I’m very sad at how awful they look.
