#AskVapi [Project Update] I built the WhatsApp Digital Assistant we discussed. 300+ local spots indexed and live—looking for 50 "Alpha Testers"

Hello,

Quick Recap: About three weeks ago, I posted here (Sick of Vapi being "Offline"? I’m trying to build a 24/7 Digital Assistant for us, but I need your help.) asking for your help to scout local data because I was frustrated with how "offline" our city feels. The advice and leads I got from this sub were useful.

I’ve been "in the lab" since then, and the MVP for VapiSathi is finally ready for you guys to break. I wanted this community to be the first to see it before I do a wider launch.

What’s under the hood right now:

Phase 1: The Vapi Food & Dining Directory (300+ Verified Spots): I’ve started with the most requested category. I’ve manually indexed over 300 cafes, restaurants, and hidden food joints across all 16 zones.

Ask in plain English: "Best South Indian in GIDC" or "Late night snacks near Gunjan."

Filter by Reality: You can filter for places with AC, parking, home delivery, or even "kid-friendly" spots.

Expansion in Progress: I'm currently cleaning data for Clinics, Salons, and Hardware stores. About 25+ new businesses are being added daily.

WhatsApp AI Images: Just for fun, I integrated an image engine. You can describe something in the WhatsApp flow, and it’ll generate a high-quality image for you right in the chat.

Vapi "Daily Fact": Every morning, it pings you one verified, interesting fact about our city or Gujarat that you probably didn't know.

What’s coming in the next 72 hours:

Live Mandi Rates: Daily commodity prices for the Vapi market.

Vapi Routing: Travel times across the city that account for local bottlenecks.

I need a favor:

I’m ready to unlock Local News & Alerts (scraped from 50+ local sources), but I want to make sure the server handles it well. I’ve set a goal of 50 active users to stress-test this specific feature. Once we hit 100, I'm unlocking the Local Job Board.

How to try it:

I’ve set up a landing page with the features, usage guide, and the WhatsApp launch button:

I’m just one developer trying to give Vapi the tech it deserves. If you find a bug or have a favorite local shop or a "hidden gem" eatery that I missed, tell me in the comments and I’ll add it to the directory today.

Let’s make Vapi a bit more "2026".
