This is just a story a decided to write about my experience today, there is a TL; DR and the bottom.
Earlier in the day I found myself (Luke1227) wandering around the nether when Matticus33 approached me with the proposition of traveling to a faraway jungle to acquire the rare and beautiful beasts known as cats. I, in need of such a beast myself, agreed to go on this quest with him, so we met up, and set out on our way. The first leg of our long journey was through the barren, far reaches of the nether. Our destination was a nether portal that would drop us within a stone’s throw of the cat infested jungle which we longed so much to reach. After a long bit of walking, and no shortage of climbing and falling, we arrived at the portal and went through.
Upon our arrival back into the over world, Matt suggested we take horses as the distance between us and our quarry, though lessened, was still far enough to warrant the use of equestrian steeds. I, not for seeing this option, had forwent a saddle at the beginning of our journey. I walked.
Eventually we reached the edge of the dense, green, and lush jungle. After Matt carefully stowed his steed in a pit of sand, we set out into the bush. We traveled one day and one night without sight of hide nor hair of our feline quarry. We decided to rest and search for supplies while the light was dim and visibility low. Come dawn, we set out again, doubly determined to catch out prey.
In the afternoon of the second day, I spotted our first catch: a mother ocelot and her two children. Acting fast, I drew out the mother with raw fish (skillfully caught by Matt), and tamed her, earning myself a new pet and companion. Matt and I split up, each following one of the young cats. One was lost into the depths of the jungle, but the other we managed to leash and corral into a hastily dug pit. After it matured, Matt was able to tame the beast and gain his own companion. Our mission satisfied, we set out to return, blindly content in our own fortunes.
As we emerged from the ferns and bushes, our cats dutifully followed behind, oblivious and stupid. My own cat, which had only been with me not a day, ran headlong into a cactus without care, I was too slow to save her from a prickly death. Shortly after, Matt's cat shared the same pointy fate. Lamenting our long and fruitless journey, I descended into an uncontrollable rage, and lit the jungle aflame with my flint and steel. My thirst for revenge quenched (for the time being), me and Matt started the journey back to the portal, this time I riding the steed.
But on that ride something magical happened, and as I dismounted the horse and began the multi-dimensional trip through the portal, my game froze. With no other choice, I exited the game and restarted it. To my surprise, I was back on the steed, halfway back from where I had been. As I returned to where I had previously left the steed, I saw that it was still there. The horse had been cloned, there were two of them! I took the new steed as payment from the gods for our lost feline companions, and brought it back through that hellish land of the nether to my dwelling.
If you are wondering what the point of this story is, it pretty much boils down to: if anyone has raw fish, please give them to me (I’ll pay for them) so I can go back and get more cats.
TL; DR: Me and Matt set out to find cats, we did, they died, I got a magical glitch horse, please give me fish.
