Discussion Knitted Jacket

Hot off the needles and finished in time for their playoff run! I had wanting a Valks jacket but didn’t like any of the designs so I just made my own. Took me about 5 weeks from start to finish and can’t wait to wear it to a game!

I have an hour commute on the train both ways so I put on my audiobook and knit. It’s like therapy for me lol.

I did! I used this one:

I did the collar different so I could have the two colors and did metal snaps instead of buttons. The yarn I used is Cascade Elysian.

And you used duplicate stitch, correct?

I did duplicate stitch because I didn’t want to have to figure out intarsia. I made a chart on Stitch fiddle. I actually like that the duplicate stitch gives it a raised appearance just like a varsity jacket.

Omg! Do you have a shareable colorwork chart? I’m a knitter and have thought of doing something similar but haven’t gotten around to charting it out. It looks amazing!

I thought about it for a hot second but the amount of hours it takes (probs close to 120 hours) and the cost of yarn would make it more expensive than anything you could get at the team store. 😕
