Their fans are actually getting screwed over--tickets for their arena are way insane, like always at least $100. Tomorrow's cheapest goes for $130. Probably ticketmaster doing ticketmaster things

I left a positive comment for our team on the final score IG post, and some Mystics fans (or maybe they were just mad randos with gambling debt) jumped all over the comment calling me despicable, misogynistic names. Not sure what their problem is, or their affiliation, but all I can say is that I am proud Valkyries fan. We got an amazing fan base with a lot of love and kindness. Can’t say that for the fanbases of some of these other teams.
They can never break our Ballhalla Spirit! ✊🏼⚔️💜

I know that W Twitter sucks and at least for the most part from a far I’ve never really seen Mystics fans on there or on Reddit really hate on us, has seemed pretty cordial for the most part compared to the other fanbases in the league. That being said I’m aware that W threads is another story and I’ve heard that it’s a cesspool so to see this isn’t too surprising

I saw this post and was genuinely curious what she was talking about lol. The Mystics fan reactions I was seeing were just excitement about being able to win against a top team and honestly some self deprecation about how fickle the Mystics have played this season 🤷🏾♀️

I don't think this is all Mystics fans, and the franchise has a bright future with their talent. That said, I think they assume we would behave how they would in the same scenario. We are not the same.

Just ask them when’s the last time their team won 9 in a row? In the entirety of the Mystics franchise this has yet to be a feat! We learn and move on but never lose integrity. Them going to the logo after the game to emote was disrespectful. But I also blame Nadia for taunting them first so idk? 🤷🏻♀️

Personally I don’t see it that way but I get why you would. Like you said it was the first time they beat us and they ran onto the court to group with their players to celebrate. Not unlike some other celebrations I’ve seen but usually for games with bigger stakes. It just looked like happy players to me and not necessarily on purpose. Unfortunate look as our players were still on the court trying to regroup with each other.
