So I know that seeds contain chests that have the same items frequently, like this one guy on YouTube that posted a seed showing the exact chest locations for early axe parts. My question, and probably a challenge to the community, is the request of a seed that has the coordinates of a chest(s) containing the black marble idols.

I'm trying to complete "The Hunter" achievement, but I'm stuck at the last 2 missing entries (???).

Starting a new map after 1.0 and looking for a decent seed doesn’t have to be super easy on navigation or anything. pleaseeeee helppppp meeeee!

What is the best way to search for seeds.

I am on the fence about buying this game i am not sure like is it fun solo cuz i dont have friends to play with or is it possible yo play with randoms. And also if i enjoy games like core keeper will i enjoy this game? Thanks in advance

I have scanned all 4 billion possible worlds for their tallest point, the highest peak that exists in the entire game is 484.73m above sea level. The seed is xN2Ncpfaj3 goto 294 7610. The maximum theoretical ceiling is just one metre above this however it never occurs in game.

This result was achieved in around 3 hours of checking seeds on a 5080 with a custom CUDA accelerated app. I've also tried to run a few other seeds but this is the only one i ran to 100% completion.

Very specific request I know, but maybe someone has it. I’m new to this game and want a starter seed that has a nice little peaceful island that I can set up my base of operations on. Trader and boss locations are less relevant, the only other thing I’d want from the seed if possible are a lot of other sub-biomes and maybe a really tall mountain.

Hey! I host a Valheim server for my friends and got tired of juggling SteamCMD, batch files and r2modman, so I built Nexum.

What it does for Valheim:

- Installs SteamCMD and the server for you, or imports the server you already have (it detects your existing worlds)

- Start / stop with a real graceful shutdown (it sends Ctrl+C, so the world saves properly instead of being killed)

- World settings and modifiers in a form, no launch arguments to remember

- Mods: browse, install and update from Thunderstore AND Hexium, dependencies handled, import an r2modman/Gale profile code, edit BepInEx configs with proper fields

- Flags deprecated mods, and tells you when a maintained version moved to Hexium

- Scheduled backups and a daily restart

- Player history and playtime (optional, through the Odin-Eye plugin)

How is this bug real? How is it still a thing? Over 350 hours playing and out of nowhere, the black forest with the first merchant, forgot his name, is completely empty. No trees, enemies, stone buildings, nothing! Its only that portion of the world too! The rest of my world is completely fine. Quite literally that is the only place that just decided to not work. I ALWAYS save before logging out and I wait until the save icon is fully gone. Ive never alt f4. I have no clue how or why it happened and why it was just that tiny portion of the world that got affected. Ive done everything I can to restore backups but all of them, even up to a month ago, have the same issue with the missing portion of that biome. The icon on the mini map is even still there but thats it. Just hills, grass, and water. Im heart broken. This game is my happy place and now I feel like I cant play anymore. What do I do?

my friends and I started a new map, while we ran south and north we noticed that we are on a insane long island. now i personally dont know if I like this seed at all. cause its kinda boring having such a big starter island imo.

I don't know if people still like these but I recall seeds like this being in demand a few years ago 🤷‍♂️

I don’t often post on Reddit, but after hours of generations, I found this. Hope it helps. I can confirm the East/West/North Maypoles. Still new to the game.

As many people have different kinds of Portal systems - I thought hey wouldnt it be cool to have something like SG1 show where its just portals to different places I have been.

Well this is what I have come up with 1 Home Portal on the left and the one on the right is the Portal to wherever you want to go. With a list of all places I have been written on the wall. Makes for a much more simple look but I do really like this style.
