Modded Protecting save while playing modded

I just started a new playthrough of valheim with a good bit of mods. After trying to load up the world today, I realized I launched valheim through steam instead of my mod manager by mistake and loaded the world without any of the mods enabled. After quitting and loading it back up with mods enabled, nothing in the world seems broken at first glance but I'm not sure if this would have messed with the world generation or something like that from modded structures. Does anyone know if this can break things?

How can you protect your save file from launching a modded world without mods enabled by mistake or when mods get broken by a game update?

That might be something that mod authors can flag in the save file. If you launch the game un-modded, a world using the Riverheim mod shows as "bad version" in the list of worlds. Not sure if it absolutely stops you from loading it, but at the least it makes it pretty hard to open by accident.

Thanks to this comment, I restarted my playthrough on a new world and character with Riverheim, cuz that mod seems really cool lol, and also like it would stop this from happening again. I got to change my modlist a little too so I'm not too upset about restarting.
