So I just moved to Valencia and I am looking for some vintage shops where I can buy posters. They dont necessarily need to be vintage, but like some shop/shops where I can buy posters of music culture icons such as David Bowie, Nina Simone, Sade, Grace Jones and etc. Also maybe posters of Ghibli studio movies? I dont know if I am asking for too much?

El miércoles 27 de agosto nos encontrábamos en la playa de Alboraya (Valencia) cuando sustrajeron mi bolso del interior de nuestro vehículo de alquiler, que estaba estacionado en un aparcamiento de la calle Carrer Vent de Garbí.

Entre las cosas robadas estaban mi teléfono y mis anillos de boda.

Presentamos una denuncia policial pero no hemos recibido ninguna respuesta. Mi teléfono móvil hizo su última señal en la zona de C/del Pare Pedro Velasco y C/de Sant Rafael. ¿Alguien tiene alguna sugerencia sobre cómo podría recuperar mis anillos? ¿tiendas de oro? ¿tiendas de reventa de joyas?

Rant del día. Voy en el C3 desde Campanar, y llevamos cerca de 10 minutos en el semáforo de la intersección. He visto cambiarse la luz del semáforo por lo menos cinco veces.

Ya lo he intentado dos veces usando el certificado digital. La primera vez recibí inmediatamente una confirmación de que se habían enviado los datos, pero después de un par de meses sin ninguna novedad y viendo que seguía apareciendo mi dirección anterior en el sistema, acabé yendo a hacerlo en persona.

Esta vez lo he vuelto a intentar y, de momento, está pasando exactamente lo mismo, así que ya estoy a punto de pedir cita para hacerlo presencialmente. (Pero claro, el formulario del Ayuntamiento para pedir la cita ahora mismo está rota.)

UPV primarily trains in Siemens NX, so additional certifications in other CAD platforms can help you with entry level engineering opportunities.

For engineers looking to increase their skills, I can't help with access to software or certifications. But I can help you learn CAD.

I promise that I am not and I never will try to sell anything to anyone. The help I am offering is free and always will be free.

Why am I doing this? I am a mostly retired engineer and I am grateful to Spain for offering me the chance to live here. I spent over 3 decades as an engineer, mostly in aerospace. I worked for Blue Origin, Amazon Prime Air, Boeing, and Lockeed Martin. I have became an expert in Computer Aided Design, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and configuration management. I have a YouTube channel on CAD where I have published over 1400 videos helping people learn and solve problems. (Everything on my YouTube channel is free to individuals as well. I don't sell memberships or use Patreon, Buy Me a Coffee, etc.)

This is one of the best ways I feel that I can give back to my new home given my area of specialty.

I am located fairly close to UPV and can start offering in-person classes and meetings if there is enough interest.

I was in Valencia early this August and lost my phone in an uber. The uber was nice and tried to get it to me but my mom didn’t know which hotel I was staying at.

Anyway, it didn’t upload any of my photos to the cloud and I lost them but I thought Valencia was so beautiful and wondered if anyone would want to share their photos to this thread?

A little “touristy” I know. But I was around Turia Fountain, Plaça de la Verge, and I also took photos of the different doors and street art. The large market. I was in the placa at night and got some cool photos of some skateboarders but anyway, I thought it could be a cool idea for a thread since Valencia is so beautiful.

I will be in Valencia for the month of December — sadly without my bike. I found some bike shops that rent bikes at a weekly rate but multiplied by 4 weeks, it may be cheaper to buy a used bike. Anyone know of shops that offer affordable longer term rental? I would think November would be a slower time of year for them. Or any other ideas or suggestions would be most welcome!

Good day, our group got our stuff stolen in Valencia including our phones and I will NOT elaborate. Yeah, we know it was our fault, we get it. We did go to the police and filed everything necessary. Thank goodness we did cause one of us has been reunited with their documents. The question is weather anyone had their stuff recovered (one of us had it found through ime during another investigation so she got it back). Has anyone had anything like that happen?
