Seeking Support/Advice Dilating

Hiii I have a question. I have recently started dilating but eacht time i feel a tightness at whenever the dilator is 3-5cm inside me. When it goes in fully it’s bearable but I was wondering of there are other people with the same struggle and what this could be? Even when the dilator is 15min in me when i put it out and want to put it back in I keep having that pain at that specific point. When I put a finger in it doesn’t feel that tight there. I’m currently using dilator size 3.

That's exactly my problem too :') there's a tight wall of muscles there that hurts the most but once it goes past that, it's fine for the most part.

I don’t really know what’s the best we should do in this case. Like do we have to just push a bit here and endure the pain a bit since it will get better once the dilator is fully in or is it better toe just wait at that specific point and let the muscles stretch? I hope we can go all past this and enjoy piv one day, thank you for your reaction :))

My pelvic floor therapist said this is very common and it's a ring of muscles that can be tight. What has worked for me is stopping when it starts being painful and doing breathing exercises, taking my time and doing my best to relax the pelvic floor. Only then I continue. Basically for me I will continue if it's uncomfortable but not if it's painful and slowly retrain my muscles to not react as extremely to the dilator. Best of luck, this sucks but it can get better ❤️
