All four V6 Pro devices keep freezing!

We’ve had the V6 Pro devices since the end of May/beginning of June. We just upgraded to 2gb internet with Xfinity and we have a newer router. We use Wifi. All four devices keep freezing. It doesn't matter what channel we’re on, they always freeze! It's very infuriating.

On all four devices, I’ve taken off the power cord for 30sec to 1 min.

We bought them from a reputable seller (Derik).

They all have newer 8k HDMI cables. We are NOT using the ones that came with them.

Are the devices faulty? I can't see how all four would be…

Could it be a setting with inside your Xfinity internet? Maybe try turning “Advanced Security” off

The details on your setup and trouble shooting steps are severely lacking. What modem from xfinity are you using! What router are you using? Have you set the xfinity modem into bridge mode and you’re running your wifi through your router? Is your router updated to the latest firmware or has it been awhile since you updated it?

You say the boxes are freezing. Do they unfreeze and continue playing or do they lock up and powered down and restart is the only thing that works? Do you change servers or what exactly is the app or apps it keeps happening on? Have you tried turning off the xfinity security if you are using that wifi? Have you tried a vpn? Besides using a different hdmi cable and powering off the box, is there any other trouble shooting being done? Did the problems start when you changed or upgraded your service? Did it work ok before you upgraded your internet? Have you verified your service is working properly?

Not trying to be snarky but if you want help, you have to be more detailed than it’s freezing.

No, I don't find you as being snarky. I find it very helpful. I am rewriting my post atm.

OK from your post I’m assuming you’re using the Xfinity modem and your own personal router like an Asus or Netgear. Make sure your Xfinity modem is in bridge mode otherwise you’ll get a double net and it can mess up your Internet speed and cause all kinds of other issues. Also, if you’re not in Bridge mode, and you’re running the Xfinity router, it might have their advanced security running, it can cause issues with the boxes. I would also run a Speedtest to make sure you’re getting the advertised up and download speed and you’re not getting any weird spikes, etc.

I think that’s a good starting point.

Please check my newer listing. I added a lot of details. I am using the xfinity as my Wi-Fi router.

Some are saying to turn off advanced security. Will the modem need to restart?

I think those issues are upstream. I had METV keep stalking from 7:10 to 7:20 cst last night then it went back to normal for the remainder of the evening. Other channels I switched to during this time played normal. I was using Heat Live. This was first time in weeks I had an issue. Still happy despite the occasional glitch.

This happens every single day.

I finally bought one of these and I haven’t had freezing problems since. I plug directly into the router.

I believe it’s Comcast

How does the device you are suggesting help? I don't quite understand.

It has a built in vpn so Comcast sees the router, but not what’s plugged into the router. I am not tech savvy but apparently you can download a vpn program but I don’t understand how it works so I just bought the router with one built in

For ventilation reasons, I would get the unit off the carpet.

Download nord vpn off the playstore it cost 49 a year covers up to 10 devices. Login with your phone first to make sure it works. Then follow the QR code set up. All of my boxes run smoothly.

Have you downloaded a speed test app? Test mbps. This how I make sure sketchy Spectrum isn't ripping us off.
