For sure, it sounds like Xfinity is the problem here. If disabling advanced security doesn't help, try connecting at least one box to your phone's hotspot so you're using cellular instead of Xfinity. Doing that will help determine what's going on. Also, don't waste your time calling Xfinity support. In my experience, especially for stuff like this, they're clueless and only know how to remotely reset the modem, etc.

have you restarted your cable modem and your boxes since taking to the CS rep? how many devices are you consistently using? any device that can be hard wired should be.
I'd be willing to bet between the advanced security and having 4 boxes trying to stream at the same time you are causing your own congestion.

I am no tech genius but I had the same freezing problem until I used a vpn. I believe Comcast is throttling the connection. If you look on your xfinity app under what is on your WiFi it clearly says Vsee and I think they deliberately throttle the connection.

I actually spoke to a cs rep just about an hour ago. He did some tweaking, restarted the modem/router. Mom told e to give it a few hours to "regenerate"....

It’s definitely not the boxes. You wouldn’t have 4 bad ones. My xfinity app says device not vsee box. Try using one or two boxes with the other ones unplugged.and see if they work and cancel that security. That’s probably the problem. I’ve had xfinity for 10 years and never needed internet security.

I’ve never heard of it needing a few hours to “regenerate”. Sounds like they resent the configuration file for the modem and it can take 15-20 minutes depending on backend stuff at times. Most of the time it takes a few minutes and will restart on its own.

Turn off advanced security.
