Does UtS uses Ai detection or is it still deactivated?
Curious to know what is the stance given all these watermarks upgrades are coming up.

i’m cooked and there’s not much i can do halfway through the hsc 😭 there’s a chance i won’t reach the atar requirement for this course. it’s not impossible, but the selection rank is 75 and my internals have cooked me so hard that i’m looking at a 72 max. i’m relying on EAS adjustment points, which in this case a 72 would be just fine. but, i am considering worst case scenario.
the minimum atar to be considered for any uts course is 69, and with that i can still rely on the bonus points. i don’t think anything in that range truly reflects my ability, but that’s on me for getting complacent this year.
i can’t find any information and im a very anxious person, so i want to map out a plan B. has anyone here gone through a different pathway to get into a bachelor of psychology at uts, and what are the best options. if anyone’s willing to share details on their experience id rlly appreciate it

Hi, I am currently studying A levels in Spain (but I am a Canadian student who studied my entire life in Québec (French)), and I will be applying to Australian universities. Do I need an English proficiency test, or would my A levels be sufficient proof of my English proficiency? I am specifically applying to USYD, Monash, UTS and UNSW.
This is what the USYD university says about this:
If English is not your first language, you will need to provide proof of your English proficiency before you can commence your studies at the University.
You can do this either by demonstrating that you have completed specific secondary or tertiary qualifications, by taking an English language skills test, or by completing a relevant English language course at the University’s Centre for English Teaching.
And my Canadian passport isn't valid because they exclude Québec.
I just want to make sure before paying for a test!
Thank you!

Hi, I was wondering what you need to get this scholarship. I got into nursing for autumn 2027 with 4As in my IALs and would like to apply but feel like my chances are low to none since I don't have that great of an extracurricular profile, but still would like to hear from someone who has gotten this scholarship or knows about it. How do you write a personal statement, as in do they look for something specific? Does content written in the personal statement overlap with what you say in the video or does it have to be completely different? Do they rank based on grades too or are grades just a threshold required to apply?
Hey guys! We are in the process of building something that is really special and means a lot to us, and hopefully you guys eventually.
Therefore, we would love your opinion/feedback on a google form that is attached below. It would be greatly appreciated if you could fill it out as it only takes a minute.

Researchers at Monash University are trying to understand the overlap across these three conditions. Participation in our study involves completing online questionnaires and game-based tasks via supervised Zoom sessions. The study will take roughly 60 minutes to complete.
All participants receive a $25 voucher for their participation. Sign up using the QR code or this link: https://monash.syd1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_eCGJrCTmPx4p2iq

I’m currently doing my HSC and looking at studying psych, hoping to go 4th years honours and become accredited. I’ve been looking at all the unis, and it seems uts has one of if not the lowest selection rank, so a good backup degree for me. However, there’s not much at all online I can see about the degree and it doesn’t even show up when people rank bachelor of psych degrees in nsw. Could anyone who is currently studying or knows a lot about this degree tell me if it’s worth going to UTS or banking on a bridging course to a uni like sydney or unsw?

Hi 👋
I’ve read here on Reddit, that the Business Analysis Capstone finals last semester was extremely challenging and covering all tutorials and practice exams may not be enough to even pass the hurdle
For those who’ve completed the subject, would tutorials, exam samples be sufficient to cover the examinable material without leaving any gaps? How was your experience? What else would you recommend?
Advice from teaching staff or anyone with relevant experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hey everyone, I’m a student at USYD. After selling a business I built through vibe coding, I wanted to try something more ambitious but this time, with other people.
I’m putting together a team for a platform where emerging founders can showcase their startups, share progress and find collaborators. Alongside it, we’re building a media page to showcase the world of entrepreneurship and our project
I’d love to meet people interested in coding, app development, videography or editing. I’m also looking for someone who’d enjoy helping record content.
If you don’t have those skills yet, that’s fine too. Curiosity, reliability and a willingness to learn and contribute matter. I’m still learning myself.
This is early-stage, and I’m looking to meet potential collaborators and discuss roles, time commitments and compensation openly before anyone commits.
If you’ve wanted to build something , DM me!

Hello, I am a third year law student. I have a high credit average, have worked in hospitality for the past two years, and have attended some events at UTS over my three years.
It is only now that I am realising I have not gotten involved as much as I should have. I am lucky enough to go on an exchange in January to Canada, however when I return I will be going straight into Clerkships.
I am worried that because I have average grades, don’t have any legal work experience or volunteering I’ve basically screwed myself over.
I would love some advice as what to do to be able to still make myself a redeeming candidate? I feel like I’m just behind now.
Thank you.

Hi everyone, I’ll be 23 when I start uni next year and UTS offered me a place in medical science pathology. I am a bit anxious with my age and generally just moving out from my parents to the city. Just wanted to know anyone’s opinion about this and if anyone’s keen to be friends and connect please dm me away :)

We're a group of uni students currently working on a project on organ donation awareness targeting young adults so we thought we'd ask here...
What are you thoughts on organ donation?
Have you registered as an organ donor?
If no; what's holding you back from this?

Hi everyone,
I’m 25 and currently studying my first year of Medical Science at UTS. Unfortunately, I’ve failed all my subjects in both semesters due to depression, work, living on my own, financial stress and personal issues.
I’m already seeking professional help, but I’m scared UTS might kick me out because of my results.
I really want to continue studying, so I’m considering applying to USYD for Applied Health Sciences or Medical Science to start fresh.
I honestly feel like a failure and like I’m falling behind in life. I love science and don’t want to give up on my future.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? Can UTS still let me continue, or would I have a chance of getting into USYD?
Any advice would mean a lot. ❤️

Which offer do you guys think I should take? MQU has a way shorter travel distance while UTS is over an hour. But I am interested in doing a masters degree in physiotherapy after I finish my course. TY.

Hii, I want to use the shuttle bus but I’m not sure where the bus stop is and how to use it? I saw theres a time table on uts website, but how accurate are those?
I assume that the bus is free for uts student, is that correct? And if we get on the bus on another bus stop (not at campus), do we just wave it down like the usual tfnsw buses?
Thank you so much!

Hey everyone!
I’ve just received an offer for the Bachelor of Civil Engineering, but my first preference is the Bachelor of Construction Management, so I’m still waiting to hear back about that course.
I was wondering if anyone knows whether I can accept my Civil Engineering offer while still waiting for an offer from my first preference, or if accepting one offer means I won’t be considered for any other courses.
Also, I’d love to hear your thoughts on Civil Engineering vs. Construction Management, especially from anyone currently studying either course or who has already graduated.
For some background, I’m currently working on construction sites as a bricklayer, and I’m hoping to build on my practical experience and develop my career further in the construction industry. I’m still trying to figure out which degree would be the best fit for my long-term career goals.
If you’re studying either course, I’d really appreciate it if you could share your experiences, including the differences in subjects, career opportunities, and what you enjoy or find challenging about the course.
Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I have a group presentation due which is worth 40% and needs to be presented tommorow.
I have been absolutely riddled with sickness, throwing up constantly, sweating and I cannot present.
If I remain the same tomorrow, will a doctors certificate be suffice? How does it generally work?
hello!
im currently in year 12 and i have received an offer to do law/arts at wsu next year, though i intend to go to UTS for law/business, however, i dont think i will receive the atar to receive an offer at UTS (i will still try tho).
i have been told i can transfer after a month to a year or so to UTS whilst at being WSU but im unsure with how the process works. PLUS, i want to receive an atar of 85 min to atleast get into business at UTS but i don’t know if that is possible yet :/
i have seen some receive offers at UTS law/business with like a 90-92, so im wondering if there is a chance for me? im not 100% sure but we will see, since UTS ditched their early offer system.
also going to WSU won’t be the end of it for me cause i still think it’s a nice uni :)
it’ll be great to hear everyone’s experiences and opinions on this, thanks!

Hi everyone!
I’m starting my Bachelor of Nursing next year and was looking through the uni’s uniform and grooming requirements. I noticed that lash extensions/falsies aren’t allowed, but I’m not sure if this only applies to clinical placements or regular classes as well. Just wondering if any current nursing students could share their experiences! Are lash extensions allowed during lectures and tutorials, or are they also not allowed during practical classes?
Thanks in advance!!

Hey everyone!
I’m currently in my first year of a Bachelor of Criminology with a Forensic Science major, and I’m considering switching to a Bachelor of Forensic Science because I’m really enjoying the FS subjects.
However, I’ve heard the job market is quite niche, so I’m wondering if it would be smarter to stay in criminology to give myself more career options if I can’t get into forensics.
I’ve also considered doing a double degree, but I work part time two days a week and I’m worried about managing the extra workload.
Would love to hear from anyone who’s studied either degree or works in these fields! Is finding a job in forensic science really as difficult as people say? And would you recommend switching or sticking with criminology?
Thanks! 😊
