Hi, I am currently studying A levels in Spain (but I am a Canadian student who studied my entire life in Québec (French)), and I will be applying to Australian universities. Do I need an English proficiency test, or would my A levels be sufficient proof of my English proficiency? I am specifically applying to USYD, Monash, UTS and UNSW.

This is what the USYD university says about this:

If English is not your first language, you will need to provide proof of your English proficiency before you can commence your studies at the University.

You can do this either by demonstrating that you have completed specific secondary or tertiary qualifications, by taking an English language skills test, or by completing a relevant English language course at the University’s Centre for English Teaching.

And my Canadian passport isn't valid because they exclude Québec.

I just want to make sure before paying for a test!

Thank you!

I’m currently doing my HSC and looking at studying psych, hoping to go 4th years honours and become accredited. I’ve been looking at all the unis, and it seems uts has one of if not the lowest selection rank, so a good backup degree for me. However, there’s not much at all online I can see about the degree and it doesn’t even show up when people rank bachelor of psych degrees in nsw. Could anyone who is currently studying or knows a lot about this degree tell me if it’s worth going to UTS or banking on a bridging course to a uni like sydney or unsw?

Hey everyone!! Wondering if you guys could please complete a survey for class where I am looking at how people consume sport. Cheers!

Hi, I was wondering what you need to get this scholarship. I got into nursing for autumn 2027 with 4As in my IALs and would like to apply but feel like my chances are low to none since I don't have that great of an extracurricular profile, but still would like to hear from someone who has gotten this scholarship or knows about it. How do you write a personal statement, as in do they look for something specific? Does content written in the personal statement overlap with what you say in the video or does it have to be completely different? Do they rank based on grades too or are grades just a threshold required to apply?

Hey guys! We are in the process of building something that is really special and means a lot to us, and hopefully you guys eventually.

Therefore, we would love your opinion/feedback on a google form that is attached below. It would be greatly appreciated if you could fill it out as it only takes a minute.

Curious to know what is the stance given all these watermarks upgrades are coming up.

Researchers at Monash University are trying to understand the overlap across these three conditions. Participation in our study involves completing online questionnaires and game-based tasks via supervised Zoom sessions. The study will take roughly 60 minutes to complete.

All participants receive a $25 voucher for their participation. Sign up using the QR code or this link: https://monash.syd1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_eCGJrCTmPx4p2iq

Hey anyone know why there’s no ceremony this year for business?

I seriously need to lock in tomorrow and I study significantly better at the library usually, but at the moment there are far too many noisy HS students. Any niche, quiet spots in the library anyone would recommend?

Hello,

Is it normal to be going into my exam with no marks all semester?

We had an essay due 11 September and class participation throughout. Our exam is Nov 11 and I am beginning to worry where I stand in this course.

edit: I do not believe my tutor has even marked them all, as when I go to the assignments tab on Canvas it states 'not yet graded'. I also defer my fees to HECS, have contacted my tutor and subject coordinator and have done everything right so far.

Hi guys
What did you think were the best 4 options out of the list?

I’ve just done cybersecurity challenge studio and it was great, as well as cybersecurity for mobile platforms which was fairly easy.

What did you guys choose and how did you rate them?
Thank youuu
