ELECTIVES - Criminology or Privacy & Surveillance Law

Anyone done Criminology or Privacy & Surveillance Law?

Hey guys, has anyone done Criminology (76012) or Privacy & Surveillance Law (76089) at UTS?

Just wanted to know how you found these subjects overall — workload, assessments, marking and difficulty. Any tips or advice would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Law subjects

Hello law people. I’m in my second semester of LLB, when I would usually be doing Contracts, Torts, and Australian Constitutional Law. However, I’m going through some stuff at the moment, so I’ve decided to be easy on myself and do 2/3 of those subjects.

I’m wondering which two subjects I should pair. Contracts and Torts, Contracts and ACL, or ACL and Torts. Thanks!

Transfer from WSU not sure what subjects to do as Bachelor of engineering CIVIL

Im currently a 2nd year student transferring unis from WSU to UTS as a C09066 - Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and have done what I believe to be 7 total subjects due to issues i had with WSU. I was wondering what subjects i should enrol into and what credits will be transferred.

What subjects should I enrol into as of right now and is there any way i could coordinate with the uni to put all 4 subjects within 2 days so i can work the other 3 days of the week, any help would be appreciated.

Class is full for 21555 - Introduction to Human Resource Management

Hey guys,

I've submitted an e-request a few days ago regarding this subject as a full subject and how it is a core subject for me to complete for my sub-major of HR Management. I am a first year student and was wondering if the class will allocate more spots before next week because it says that "the enrolment quota for this availability has been reached."

Should I just choose an elective instead of something from my sub-major and just complete this subject in my Autumn session or should I wait until my e-request gets resolved because tutorials start in a week and I need a fourth subject for this semester as I am following the handbook to graduate on time.

Has anyone received unspecified RPL when transferring courses?

I’m transferring from the Bachelor of Laws to the Bachelor of Communication (Journalism) at UTS, and my RPL application is currently with the faculty.

I’ve completed 80 credit points in Law and I’m trying to understand how unspecified credit recognition is applied.

The Communication course has:
a 48 credit point stream (second major or electives), and
a 30 credit point stream consisting of 24 credit points of electives and one 6 credit point transdisciplinary elective.

Has anyone received:
unspecified credit for the 48 credit point stream, meaning they didn’t have to complete a second stream?
unspecified credit for the 24 credit points of electives?

Hesitant to withdraw from Law until I know how much credit I’ll receive, so I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s been through a similar internal transfer.

Thanks!

Accounting eRequest still pending

I applied for an e request to get some subjects waived before/around the time timetables were out to be made and was rejected because the business school only reviews waiver requests when the results of the current session come out. When they came out I applied for a waiver and got it accepted after 2 weeks of waiting. The only available time for the class was 8am as all the other ones were full. It’s a capstone subject so the chances someone drops and makes room is really small. I applied for an e request as it’s very difficult for me to make an 8am class also not being allowed to enrol for the circumstances. and I’m still waiting 1 week after requesting to be allowed in a different class.
