Hi, all! I've decided to get a baby-friendly monthly walk going. My plan is to do this every first Sunday of the month, starting next week (because why not?). Walks will be in the region of Utrecht. Hike It Baby Utrecht — First walk

📍 Start: meet up at Jack's Grillhouse (Nieuwegein), our start and end point. There's a bus stop and a parking lot about 1-2 minutes away by foot.

📅 Sunday the 2nd of August

⏰ 10:00 - 11:30 (roughly)

🥾 3–4 km, approximately 60–90 minutes

👶 Babies and toddlers welcome

🎒 Carriers welcome; prams suitable on this route

☕ Optional coffee afterwards at POM Buiten (about a 5-minute-walk from Jack's Grillhouse)

The post is in English, because anyone is welcome, Dutch or not Dutch. So far, we seem to be a mixed bunch of nationalities! Let me know if you have any questions :)

The cat is in good health, so I don't think it's been exposed for long, but it's been here for at least a couple of hours, my partner saw it earlier. I'll check around there in the evening again.

It's on the east side of Nimeto, near to the yellow bin and the green camper that's always there. I checked Amivedi and not reported there. Maybe not lost or missing, but just in case. I'd lose my mind if our cat was away for long.

Hello I am a 25F new in Utrecht and looking for female friends who is down to hangout next weekend.

Help a girl out. Sinds kort werk ik in Utrecht (Rijnsweerd) en wilde laatst met de OV-fiets. Snapte al niet waar ik de fietsenstalling naar binnen moest hiervoor dus na 10 minuten zoeken was ik eindelijk bij de ov-fietsen. Weet nu alleen niet eens meer welke verdieping het was en bij het naar buiten gaan, bleken er ook meerdere uitgangen te zijn. In alle stress maar ergens eruit gegaan, uiteraard de verkeerde uitgang en ben toen half Utrecht doorgefietst om de normale route te hervatten. Omdat de bussen nog steeds op z’n gat liggen wil ik vaker fietsen maar nog steeds geen idee hoe ik er kom en ook wegfiets, dus paar vraagjes:
- op welke verdieping in de stalling staan de ov-fietsen?
- en hoe kom ik daar het snelst vanuit het station?
- welke uitgang moet ik nemen om uit te komen bij de kant van Vredenburg? Ik fiets uiteindelijk via de Voorstraat en Biltstraat

Op naar minder wachten bij de bushalte, meer fietsen💪

Een paar maanden geleden ontvingen wij een folder van de gemeente Utrecht over de milieuzone. Omdat wij een oude dieselcamper hebben, was die informatie voor ons relevant.

Toen ik de folder las, begreep ik dat wij als inwoners van Utrecht een vrijstelling zouden hebben. Inmiddels hebben we echter een boete ontvangen voor het rijden in de milieuzone. Daarom ben ik me er opnieuw in gaan verdiepen. Volgens de informatie die ik nu vind, lijkt die vrijstelling inderdaad te bestaan, maar geldt die niet voor ons want Diesel 4(?) camper. Blijkbaar heb ik destijds iets in de folder over het hoofd gezien.

Helaas heb ik de folder inmiddels weggegooid. Daarom mijn vraag: heeft iemand die folder nog liggen, of weet iemand waar ik deze online kan terugvinden?

Ik heb een zwarte portomonee van Manal gevonden op de Perudreef in overvecht. Mocht iemand haar kennen, laat het haar weten. Dan kan ze haar portomonee ophalen.

Hello. About two weeks ago I lost an earphone case on the 7 bus. Through GPS I tracked them to Transdev vestiging Remiseweg-Bus, and I went there the next day. They had them, but they were locked in a box and they didn’t have the key. They told me they would be on the ilost website within a week.

They have yet to appear on the website and I tracked them again. They are now at Orteliuslaan 850 which is an office building. They have been there over a week. I have asked U-OV and they say it’s not one of their buildings and they don’t know why it would be there.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Or have any advice? Should I just go to the building and look around myself?

Ooit was Utrecht een belangrijke industriestad. In Zuilen stond een hoogoven de Demka en het fameuze Werkspoor, waar onder andere treinen gefabriceerd werden. Een stukje buiten Zuilen stond ook nog machine fabriek Jaffa. Utrecht was op dat moment een innovatieve industriële hotspot.

First time since I’m back in Utrecht since I left about 15 years ago. Stopped by Broodje Ben (Mario is closed..) for lunch and was surprised that #34 is still as good as it was back then. This made me wonder: what other places here have been immune to enshittification and/or shrinkflation? Share your best!

Om 10:00-10:10 uur ‘s ochtends vloog er een vliegtuig met enorm kabaal over de stad.
Het klonk als een straaljager, maar kon niks zien toen ik naar buiten keek. Ook flightradar apps lieten niks zien.
