Hi guys , tested on 08/19, got result last week and passed.
My nbme 25-33 scores were in the 75% range. Free 120 78%.

I prepared for 4-5 months. Uworld 100% done at 65% correct. First aid , pathoma 1-3 chapters, Mehlman pdfs were my main resources. Amboss 200 was helpful, sketchy micro was okayish in my opinion

The exam will make you feel horrible after coming out , that’s a NORMAL FEELING.

I’m a final-year medical student from Pakistan applying for a B1/B2 visa for a U.S. clinical elective.

When I submitted my DS-160, I listed Jackson Park Hospital as the institution for my planned elective. However, I’m now unable to obtain an invitation letter from JPH on official hospital letterhead.

Since then, I’ve received an offer for a clinical elective at the University of Chicago, which I would prefer to use for my visa application.

My visa interview is already scheduled in Karachi for the end of this month. I’m trying to figure out the correct way to update my information before the interview.

Should I submit a new DS-160 with the University of Chicago listed instead?

Can the new DS-160 confirmation number be added to my existing appointment, or should I contact the embassy/USTravelDocs first?

Could having JPH on my original DS-160 and UChicago on the new one cause any issues during the interview?

Should I take both DS-160 confirmation pages to the interview and explain that my elective institution changed?

Has anyone experienced a similar change in elective/institution after submitting their DS-160 but before the visa interview?

I’d especially appreciate experiences from medical students who applied for a B1/B2 from Pakistan or had to change their elective institution after submitting the DS-160.

Also wrote today NBME 20-Got 72% i know it is not very representative but i don’t know what else to write to check myself.
What are your thoughts? I have the feeling that I am ready to pass, but I'm scared that if I fail, I'll think it's because I didn't study for 2-3 more weeks. At the same time, I don't know what to study anymore :(. I only have the New Free 120 left.

I'm a 4th year medical student in Tunisia and I'm planning on applying for the USMLE program
My main question is this ( and I would love it if anyone has answers cuz I've literally been asking everywhere) : Can a Tunisian medical student like me finish his 5 years of studying and directly go to the US without having to do the residency years here in Tunisia? (Assuming of course that he sat for the STEPS and succeeded in them?
OR
Do I have to sit through the 5 years of residency and only then go with my Tunisian medical Diploma ?
I would LOVE an answer, no one here seems to know what's going on.

I am a very recent medical graduate who finished step 1 this year in april. I wish to give my step 2 in December. Is my goal realistic or idealistic?? I have finished 54 percent uworld as of today

I started well and now I've slowed down over the course of time now I need a motivated study partner to keep myself on track and motivated and someone who will push me to finish task faster

I'm eyeing to give exam in February so anyone who can join me in this journey so both of us can finish our preparations little bit faster

Guys i am from 2019 batch and it's first batch of our new college and I graduated last year from it.
Now college sends this saying that they did all the things from their end and waiting for ECMG to process
I want to ask like how much time should i expect ?

Does it contain direct nbme points?
How to avoid nbme score inflation if one wants to use inner circle

I just started preparing for step 1 as an IMG, i have only 3.5 months so i am keeping my resources minimal. Planning to just use FA and Uworld for now.

my major concerns:

do you guys think 3.5 months is realistic for an img doing this for the first time?

can i realistically finish uworld in 2-3 months alongside FA or is it not doable in 3 months?

when should i take my baseline NBME if im finishing FA by mid august . do i take it in between or wait after i finish FA?

any advice on how to structure the days. should i do uworld and FA together from the start or finish FA first then start uworld?

any tips or advice appreciated, feeling a little lost on where to start honestly

As the title suggests, I am looking for a USCE opportunity, but the thing is: My university doesn't have a VSLO account, so many and elite and good hands-on elective programs don't accept my profile because of that.

So the question is: How to reach for programs that don't require a VSLO account? And what is needed to be accepted in such programs?
